Biography

Bae Yong Jun is a Korean actor who was born August 29, 1972 in Mapo, Seoul, South Korea. After realizing that he was interested in acting, he attended Sungkyunkwan University where he majored in Film, Television, and Multimedia. He began acting in 1994 when he appeared on the television show Salut D’Amour. Although it was his first role, he starred on the series. The following year, he had a large role in the film PpilKu.

Between 1994 and 1996, he acted in another three television shows. Then in 1996 he was able to again star in a show, called Papa. He followed that success with another starring role on a television series, First Love in 1997. Then, in 1999 he starred on the show Did We Really Love? The show was a huge hit with fans and helped to further his success.

In 2001, he starred on the television series Hotelier. In 2003, he starred in Winter Sonata, a television show that was the second season of an extremely popular four-part series. In 2003 he starred in his second film, Untold Scandal. Then, in 2005 he starred in the romantic film April Snow. In 2007, he took his most recent starring role, on the television series The Legend. He has also written five books over the years, and enjoys visiting with fans.
