Biography
Ban Hyo Jung is a Korean actress who did not begin her career until she was in her fifties. Since then, however, she has made a name for herself as an excellent character actress in dozens of different television series. She was born on November 27 in 1942, and began acting in 1995. Her first role was on the show West Palace.
In 2000, she appeared in the very popular historical drama Roll of Thunder. Then, in 2004, after acting in seven other shows, she played the mother of one of the main characters on the show Terms of Endearment. The show had very high ratings and helped make her acting more popular. She then acted on the romantic show My Sweetheart My Darling in 2005.
In 2006 she played a large role on the show Thank You Life. In 2008 she appeared on the very popular show Star’s Lover. She then continued to take roles, often playing a mother or grandmother, in hit shows such as Shining Inheritance, Pure Pumpkin Flower and Definitely Neighbors. 2011 saw her on the shows Romance Town and Brain. In 2012, she acted on the very successful show Rooftop Prince.
