Biography
Cha Seung Won is a Korean Model, Actor. He was born on June 7th, 1970 in Anyang, Gyeonggi, South Korea. He studied at Sungkyunkwan University as a young man. It was during this time that he met his future wife, whom he married when he was eighteen. Soon after, in 1988, he decided to drop out of school, pursue a career in Modeling. His Modeling career was very successful, helped propel him into acting.
In 1997, he made the jump from Modeling to acting. He was cast in a role on the television show New York Story. The same year, he had a part in the film Holiday in Seoul. Over the next few years, he acted on eight more shows, appeared in five movies. It wasn’t until 2000, however, when he was really able to stun fans, critics with his acting in the film Libera Me. The film launched Cha Seung Won into stardom.
Since Libera Me, he has acted in many successful films like Blood Rain,, in popular television series’, such as Athena: Goddess of War. In 2012, he also acted in a theater production, Bring Me My Chariot of Fire.
