Biography

Julio Chavez (real name Julio Hirsch) was born on July 14, 1956 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a prominent actor, author and director of Argentine theater. His career has been centered on film and television. In 2007, he won the Oso de Plata Award at the International Film Festival of Berlin, the Cóndor de Plata Award, ACE de Oro Award and the Clarín Espectáculos a la Figura del Año Award.

Julio Chávez directs the Instituto de Entrenamiento Actoral (Institute for Acting Entertainment) that bears his name, in the City of Buenos Aires. Julio Chavez is also the star of Trátame Bien.
