Biography
Choi Min Soo was born into a family of South Korean stars who have been in the entertainment industry for over 8 decades. He is well known for his tough disposition and tends to favor roles that have a strong and manly character. He has acted in over 30 combined television and movie roles and has won several acting awards.
Choi Min Soo has become well known on the popular variety show Running Man and has been nicknamed “The Hunter” for his fearsome hunting skills.
He is married to June Elizabeth Kang and has two sons with her, Christian and Benjamin.
In 2008 Choi Min Soo was charged with assault and battery when an 73 year old man reprimanded him for cursing while he was stuck in traffic. Choi Min Soo hit the man with his fist, after being noticed by onlookers, and attempted to drive away. Before he got away the man stuck himself in front of Min Soo's car and he drove off, with the man on his car hood, for 200 yards. Charges were not pressed further by the man but Min Soo, ashamed and remorseful, banished himself to the mountains for a year without his family.
