Biography
Choi Seung Hyun is a Korean actor and singer who is often known by his stage name, T.O.P. He was born on November 4th, 1987 in Seoul, South Korea. As a child, he was friends with a boy who went by the name of G-Dragon. The two would often rap together and create underground music. In 2006, after G-Dragon became involved with an entertainment company, he contacted T.O.P. After auditioning for the entertainment company, G-Dragon and T.O.P, along with other members, formed the boy musical group Big Bang. The band has released two albums, five EPs and several live compilation albums.
In 2007, he began to concentrate on acting as well as his music career. He was cast to play a role on the television show I Am Sam, which was popular with viewers. After two more television shows and two appearances in films, he played a role on the extremely popular show Iris. This helped to cement his stardom. The show led to another movie, Iris: The Last, in 2011. In 2012, he appeared in a film and on two variety shows. He also continues his music career with his band, as well as creating collaboration albums with his friend G-Dragon.
