Biography

Born in Belgrano, Buenos Aires, on April 18, 1976, Rodrigo de la Serna is an Argentine actor and musician. At a young age he became interested in the theater and participated in shows at his local school. In 1995, he began his career with the television series Cibersix and later Naranja y Media, both broadcasted on Telefe. In 2004, he achieved international recognition thanks to his magnificent interpretation of Alberto Granado in the film Motorcycle Diaries, the story of the revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara’s travels through South America.

For this role, he won the award Cóndor de Plata for Best Leading Actor. In 2005, he participated in some episodes of the series Botines. In 2011, he won the Martin Fierro award for Best Leading Actor in a TV series. De La Serna also forms part of the tango group called El Yotivenco, with which he recorded and released a record.
