One of our most popular dramas, this romantic comedy tells the story of Han Kyul (Gong Yoo), the handsome son of a wealthy hotelier family, who is set in his bachelor ways and constantly deflects his family's attempts to make him commit. The constant pressure to get married drives him to hire a goofy young delivery boy Eun Chan, (Yoo Eun Hye) to pretend to be his gay lover to scare away his family's set-ups. Trouble starts when Han Kyul begins to get to know the hardworking and lovable Eun Chan, and begins to develop real feelings for her, although he thinks she is a man. This drama stirred up much controvery at it's release due to it's themes of homosexual love.
This funny and fascinating tale of falling in love despite many obstacles received multiple awards such as, the 2007 MBC Acting Awards for Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo, as well as Best TV drama award at the 2008 Korean Producers' Awards. This award-winning cast is also joined by one of our favorite actors, Lee Sun Gyun (White Tower, Pasta) and drama hottie, Chae Jung Ahn. The reviews don't lie. Watch this show! It's strange and odd, and then oddly addicting, and by the last 5 episodes you can't turn it off. This is one of those shows with a great storyline and acting by the main characters, followed up and assisted by a superb cast of supporting characters. To sum it up, there's a little bit of everything in this show and they all work so well together. So many K-dramas have a few good bits, but Coffee Prince has them all. The chemistry is great, the friendships are great. It all makes you feel like you are a part of the Coffee Prince family: a feat for any show. This is definitely a keeper in my heart!

Hey Let the girls be girly and the guys be manly.Why do so many dramas have the girls in ugly haircuts and ugly clothes??????????the girls are pretty just dressed ugly.

Many people have magazine racks in their bathrooms, but a small library? Besides that, Han-Gyul and Sun-Ki are super hot. This drama dragged a little bit but because of the high ratings and comments I kept watching. I am enjoying this drama so far.

i looved this drama. Very cute and interesting. They should have done more episodes. I wouldn't have mind watching more of "my chan" and han-gyul. Oh i loved to see han-gyul cry. so adorable and it was always fun to watch him yell or get pissed off. My chan was the best. I still can't believe how she eats...especially how she ate the pizza. Oh I also tried singing with our neighbors dog...OWWAHHHHH or so.

There are reasons why this drama has a cult-like following! Coffee Prince set the standard by which all others dramas are compared. You will probably stay up into the wee hours watching this, but it's worth the sleepless nights. Coffee Prince will stay with you long after the last episode. The chemistry between the leads is intense to the max. They are so into each other, it's as if there is no camera present and we're watching private moments. The leading man, besides being unbelievably attractive, portrays the angst/struggle of his character quite well. Episode 9--Wow, for so many reasons. I literally held my breath in some scenes. Coffee Prince stands out as one of my all-time favorite K-dramas among the many I have enjoyed. Watch it!
