Last Scandal Starring Choi Jin Shil and Jung Joon Ho

Once upon a time, Hong Sun Hee (Choi Jin Shil) was the belle of her high school, renowned for her beauty and adored by her first love, Dong Chul (Jung Joon Ho). Years later, she is a poor, neglected housewife who supports herself, her child. Her first love Dong Chul, on the other hand, has reinvented himself as Song Jae Bin, a hugely popular actor beloved by all of Korea, but he has never quite forgotten his high school sweetheart. When he and Sun Hee run into each other one day, he doesn't recognize her at first, but after a series of chance events, Sun Hee ends up becoming his live-in housekeeper, and sparks begin to fly again.

My Last Scandal far exceeded my expectations. I love kdramas, but I'm also tired of the lack of original plot lines in many of the stories. Not so here. Please hang in there during the first few episodes...it's worth it! The depth and development of each character is realistic and resonated with me. I loved many moments in this drama, but my favorite scene, by far, is 14 minutes into episode 15. Wow, so powerful and moving. I loved this drama; it's so well done.

This one was kind of wierd for me. I really liked all of the actors but not all of the characters the mom was super annoying at the beginning and kind of throughout. I didn't think the husband got his payback propperly. I really liked her pervy friend she was different. All in all it was a filler until king 2 hearts and rooftop prince comes back on.

I can only give this K-drama ***..mainly because the first 10/11 episodes she looked like a wet mut with that hair-style and glasses, she was killing me. I kept looking at the screen..going REALLY?..but other than that the story lines, plot, and acting was really decent. I also love the fact that there was an actual wedding at the end. I seen quite a few dramas where they were included: Greatest Love and Full House. Nice Touch. PS: I was saddened to hear about the leading lady death. May She R.I.P.

I've been trying to get through this drama for weeks and just can't seem to stay interested. I gave up towards the end of episode 5. Found the lead actress hard to take both visually and dramatically. The character is a total buffoon and just plain irritating. May try again after all other options are exhausted (meaning no other drama's are available). UPDATE: Went back 2 finish this drama after looking into the actress to see if there were drama's she's done that I would enjoy only to discover she passed on. While I still did not like this drama (the characters were too old for this formula. He's old enough not to know when he likes someone & has no excuse for behaving so badly & she's too old to be so clueless). Still I was able to find her in other dramas & I enjoyed her. RIP Choi Jin Shil.

I needed to fast forward through the first few episodes. I just couldn't handle that hairdo and glasses. It was a bit slow and predictable as well. I'm only starting ep. 11 right now. I like the characters, the relationships, and chemistry. Honestly, I'm having a hard time deciding whether to like or dislike this show. The acting is great, and I really enjoy the mature romance aspect of it. We'll see. Finished the show. I'll upgrade to a 4****. :) Mostly, the upgrade is for the male lead. The ability to speak through his eyes is incredible! All in all it's a great feel good story. I was sad to read the reviews and hear about the passing of a very talented lady.

Every episode was entertaining, even with the predictability of the plot. The chemistry between the leads was great. I'm sad the nice guy again finishes alone. But I do wonder why a sign of domestic happiness is doing the laundry by hand. To show how Sonny is happy she is at home she does the laundry on the roof. Regularly Korean women doing the laundry by hand is used a a metaphor for domestic happiness: wealthy women who marry down, nice middle class girls who marry, poor women who marry up, all happily do the laundry by hand shown or stomp on the bed covers in a bucket. I did my laundry by hand for several years as a poor grad student . One of my first purchases after the dishwasher was the clothes washer. Do middle class women really do the laundry by hand in Korea? I'm sadden by Choi Jin Shil 's death and hope that some Korean series is done on the issue of battered women.

I would have given this drama five stars if the characters had not be absolutely reprehensible in the beginning episodes...Jebin Song was so awful to Sunny and Sunny was downright abusive to her daughter. After a few episodes the characters begin to be human again and a thoroughly enjoyable storyline takes place.

A very sweet drama with a good balance between the comedy, angst, and romance. Nice balancing out toward the end for the triangle element. Personally, I would like to have seen an ending that included a "honeymoon baby" - a logical conclusion considering the opening ;D I also wound up with a very melancholy feeling at the end of this one due to the real life events that took place - I just had a difficult time completely separating the two.

what a feel good ending to the drama. Sad about the real life conclusion though. It is sad that she didn't get the Cinderella ending in real life. RIP :(
