Beloved actors Lee Sun Gyun (Coffee Prince, Triple) and Gong Hyo Jin (Thank You, Hello My Teacher) light up the screen in this bubbly, addicting story of an cold master chef and a stubborn, warm-hearted kitchen assistant. Feel-good and well-produced, Pasta is reminiscent of 2007's drama smash hit The First Shop of Coffee Prince. Alex of popular band Clazziquai, Honey Lee of 2009's Partner, and a host of hilarious and handsome supporting actors round out the cast.
Seo Yoo Kyung (Gong Hyo Jin) has endured the grueling job of kitchen assistant at high-class restaurant La Sfera, for two years in hopes of being promoted to chef. Things are looking up as she meets a handsome stranger on the street, who ends up being the restaurant's new head chef, who is a completely different person in the kitchen. On his first day on the job he fires all the female cooks, including Yoo Kyung.
Yoo Kyung, however, too stubborn to let go of her dream, is willing to do whatever it takes to get her job back. Yoo Kyung struggles as she butts heads with the new chef, while trying to learn everything she can from him at the same time, and sparks begin to fly. Things are complicated by the presence of Kim San (Alex), a charming customer with an eye for Yoo Kyung who seems to have mysterious ties to the restaurant, and Oh Sae Young (Lee Ha Nui/Honey Lee), a famous TV Chef and former love of Hyun Wook, not to mention the kitchen politics that get in the way of their budding romance.
With ratings that have been steadily climbing since the drama debuted, Pasta is certainly not to be missed.

This drama is perfection. It's one of the few that I gave 5 full stars to, like Coffee Prince & Jumong. I basically put my life on hold and finished 20 episodes in 2 days lol. We hear the word "chemistry" a lot in describing the dynamic between actors, and I have to say...the attraction between the leads is strong and very real; many of their scenes together are emotionally intense! Another plus--they ended this drama at just the right time, instead of making it drag like other shows. Also, the ending is not tragic--gasp!--a true rarity in K-dramas!

hey, im trying to find the song. i don’t know the name. it always comes on at the sad scene, it starts with “nananana”. do you know that song? in episode 13 -when San (the CEO) left the note for Seo Yong Kyung to meet him at the grocery shop and when she was waiting for him, the song came on. and again at when San went to his sister asking whether if she prefers a man who likes her secretly or toys with her feelings constantly. Please i cant find it anywhere. please reply. thank you

Depth wasnt there as well as the romantic emotions. I didn't believe the two main actors were in love. Spoiler beyond here-beware!: I only believed Kim San's emotions through this entire series, he was genuine. This was also my first Korean Drama on NF and I was disappointed. After that I watched Protect the Boss (Jaejoong!) which I am glad, if not for another K-drama that was actually good and had what i was looking for (which is emotional depth) I would have given up on all K-dramas! If you're thinking of this as your first k-drama look elsewhere!

I was pulled in by the chemistry between the leads, but the story stalled badly, and never seemed to recover. Even their "love story" never seemed to go anywhere past very strong like (even though they called it love). And it certainly didn't need the 4 episode extension.

I loved this drama and the chemistry between the leads, and I was happy at first when I heard they were extending it, but it ended up ruining such a good thing.
