After being abandoned by her mother, Seo Young Ji (played by Han Ji Hye) is left working two jobs to support her alcoholic father and siblings. Through her struggle she dreams of becoming a famous writer, and carefully invests all her money in the bank, where she meets and falls for Choi Do Kyeong (Kwon Oh Joong), a bank employee who is also poor and aims to marry into money. This series is a realistic story of the darker/unromantic side of dating, and love. Money, social status, employment, etc...

This was my introduction to K-dramas... and I loved it. I have since seen numerous dramas, but this holds it's own as a refreshing and sometimes humorous story. I laughed, I cried, I adored it!

Though a sad drama, I still liked it because I could relate to it since I experienced a little bit of what each of the characters did. An 'all American guy' left me because I was an immigrant, even though I made more money than he did and had a better job than him. And I also was embarrassed of another guy I was talking to because he wasn't educated and was a poor mechanic. I was hurt by the first one and was ashamed by my actions towards the second one. But I think it's very dangerous advice to follow your heart, the heart can be very unpredictable and it could tell you to have an affair with a married man or marry the wrong guy because common sense was not used. There was a reason why God said that the heart was deceitful. I was following my heart with the 'all American' guy and got really hurt. Had I used logic and common sense I would have seen what everyone else around me saw. So please be careful, it's the rest of your life that can be affected. Fighting!

I chose this drama to see Kwon Oh Joong in something besides historical drama. To my surprise another Duo character is in this one: the lead Han Ji Hye. I'm a sucker for the poor characters in kdrama, their challenges and lifestyle and these two actors did their characters justice. Both of them. And the vacillating male lead was spot on, realistic. The plastic surgeon had the most complex character of all. It kept me wondering how the quadrangle would play out right to the end.

Refreshing, funny and insightful. Some really sound life lessons expressed throughout. Similiar to good book, I couldn't wait for the next episode (threw away alot of sleep just to watch one more.) Worth watching! :)

So worth viewing that I watched it a 2nd time! It's a shame how so much emphasis is placed on money and social status. We all have the same needs and bleed the same. You'll enjoy this!

The rich boy's attitude toward the poor girl that he was attracted to, was probably more realistic than we see in a lot of dramas, which was interesting. I got bored with that couple toward the end of the drama though. I really enjoyed watching the relationship develop between the poor boy and rich doctor. MAJOR FRUSTRATION WITH SUB-TITLES. Many of the sub-titles for the conversations in the second half of the drama just did not make any sense and I really wanted to know what the characters were saying to each other! Maybe it's time to take a course in Korean so I don't have to depend so much on the subs.

This drama was very good. Kept my interest from the first episode. Kim Joon-woo & Seo Yeong-ji really made a cute couple. With 20 episodes I was hoping that their relationship would go beyond the typical family disapproval. Still very enjoyable.
