After the foster grandmother who has raised her passes away, hillbilly Yeo Bong Soon (Eugene) leaves her mountain village and sets out for Seoul to look for her birth parents. There, she ends up working as an assistant cook at the canteen of the President's Blue House (the Korean equivalent of the White House), and is later promoted to the Blue House kitchen itself. To her surprise, she soon finds herself the target of romantic overtures from two very different men - the President's son Jang Joon Won(Ryu Jin), an intellectual, married doctor, and the President's bodyguard Nam Bong Ki (Lee Min Ki), an arrogant, self-centered playboy. Bong Soon is initially drawn to Joon Won, especially when she discovers that his wife has dementia, but gradually she is attracted to Bong Ki also, who finds himself, to his disgust, falling for the warm-hearted country bumpkin. As Bong Soon's open-hearted generosity wins the hearts of all around her, she'll have to choose between the two men..
