I Really Really Like You Starring Eugene, Lee Min Ki, and Ryu Jin

Pop princess Eugene brings her onstage charm to this delightful drama about an unsophisticated country girl who winds up working in the presidential kitchen.

After her foster grandmother passes away, hillbilly Yeo Bong Soon leaves her mountain village and sets out for Seoul to look for her birth parents. There, she ends up working as an assistant cook at the canteen of the President's Blue House (the Korean equivalent of the White House), and is later promoted to the Blue House kitchen itself. To her surprise, she soon catches the eye of two very different men - the President's son Jang Joon Won (Ryu Jin), an intellectual, married doctor, and the President's bodyguard Nam Bong Ki (Lee Min Ki), an arrogant, self-centered playboy. As Bong Soon's open hearted generosity wins the hearts of all around her, she'll have to follow her heart to find her true love.

It starts out not bad but it gets worse I hate the way she talks and sings. He is the village idiot. Who would think that with his temper he would hold a job like that It has a few good parts but it also has tons of bad acting, and lousy writing They were able to take a funny part and make it boring. This was a really bad story line. There were too many small stories throughout the main theme. There were too many flashbacks. I did not agree with her losing the doctor and ending up with the loud mouth jerk. The doctor's wife can never be cured, he should have got a divorce and started a new life. It was a young man to be trapped in that situation. This is my opinion. Thumbs down!

Okay. I've watched 6 episodes and I can't take it anymore. Eugene's country-girl character was tolerable in the beginning but now it's just downright annoying. I know it's supposed to be endearing, but she's not that great of an actress so she just comes off as ignorant, whiney, and plain stupid sometimes. Lee Min Ki's acting I liked better, but there's really nothing to like about his character except his reactions when something ridiculous happens. The doctor, Ryu Jin, is a very formulaic character. On top of all this the story is boring and incredibly slow moving. I haven't been able to find anything to keep me watching, and normally I'm okay with country girl comes to the city plotlines. This is more like cavewoman come to the city. It's just too stupid.

Lee Min Ki (Bong-Gi) was absolutely obnoxious and totally adorable. I definitely would not have mind seeing Robo-Cop (Ryu Tae Joon) in more scenes. ^_^ Like one of the reviewers stated, I too, do not watch too many dramas over 16 episodes; but 'I Really Really Like You' had a way of keeping me interested.

I probably wouldn't have started this if I had seen how many episodes it had. Most dramas, I have trouble after episode 16 or so with things getting repetitive and a bit dull. This one held me the whole way through. Not too dramatic. Great characters. Funny. Everything I like.

After reading some of the other reviews, I was hesitant to watch this but it has Lee Min Ki in it so I wanted to see what it was like for myself. I agree that they spent way too much time on the relationship between Bong Soon and the Dr and not enough time with the Bong Gi relationship. Bong Soon & Bong Gi were so cute together and I loved watching their interaction with each other but all the other side stories were sometimes hard to get through and rather boring. The hillbilly thing got pretty old after a while too. So, if you're a Lee Min Ki fan it's ok to watch because although he does seem a little spastic at times in the beginning, he does grow and mature as the series goes on but if you're not fan of either Eugene or LMK then there are definitely better dramas to watch out there.

I wanted to love this but it's not a good drama. It's on the slow side and I found it dragged. It had potential but the writing of the story was weak. Lee Min Ki overacted-- not sure if it was the writing or him, but his character acted like an immature brat for a good chunk of the episodes. He was really annoying and one-dimensional. When his character started to grow up, there was still no romance between him and the main actress. Only closer to the last few episodes does the main actress have a change of heart. I didn't believe the story. I didn't believe in the characters. Let's not even talk about the attraction between the doctor and the lead actress. That should have been short-lived. Skip this one.
