This drama is set in the 1930's when Korea was under the rule of Japan. Na Yeo Kyeong was the owner of a book store and she was also a freedom fighter. Seon Woo Wan was the playboy son of a rich family and he became involved in the independence movement through a bet with his co-workers to win Na Yeo Kyeong's heart. His father paid for the education of his worker's son, Lee Soo Hyeon, and was disappointed to find him working for the Security Branch of the Japanese government. One of the best K-drama of all time!!! What first attracted me to this drama was the 1930's vintage setting. I was absolutely thrilled to find a drama set in a time of amazing fashion (in my opinion). After the first episode, it was more than just the fashion that made this drama dear to my heart. The chemistry between Kang Ji Hwan and Han Ji Min is amazing! They're still my number one couple of all time. There are twists and turns, but that's what makes this drama special. It's not boring and it will keep you wanting more. The way the two main characters grow through out the series defiantly makes this drama a classic. I just wished they got more attention
