Soulmate Starring Shin Dong Wook and Lee Soo Kyung

:: NOTICE - This drama's makers numbered sub-plots and their use of the word episode differs from ours. For example, episode 6 has the words "episode 9" at the beginning, but this is indeed Soulmate episode 6 and you are viewing this drama in the correct order. ::

A combination of Friends and Sex in the City, this refreshing, witty and sexy sitcom is our current favorite. We follow six charismatic characters through blind dates, breakups and hookups in 12 enjoyable chapters which make fun of the trials and tribulations of being single and dating in Seoul today. Because of its story line, actors and music, the title did not enjoy massive popularity in Korea – we don’t think anyone over 40 years old watched it – but amongst the young people it grew one of the strongest cult followings to this date.

Kind of strange This was an alright drama but a bit odd. It was too short for one thing. However, if you are an avid drama fan I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy here. There are for sure some bright moments.

So short for a K-drama! Umm...I liked it but I think it's an acquired taste. I also thought it was really odd for a k-drama to be so short but that's why I watched it and the soundtrack was really REALLY GOOD! Watch it if you're bored...otherwise it's only alright, but do get the soundtrack!

different and good I love the soundtrack as I'm seeing a lot of you guys do too ... I'm still a little bit wondering what I thought ... the ending was strange to me ... I really thought it would be diff but I guess it's suppose to have you fill out what if's or give you the main idea of what might have happened next ... overall I thought it was cute though. I will probably watch it again soon ...

Drama=4 Stars, Soundtrack=5 Stars If you're looking for something fresh and different, try this. It's not your traditional romantic or overly dramatic drama. It's more sex and the city like, sitcom-esque. The music and OST are probably the best I have ever heard in any drama, and the music is part of the story and a strong character in the drama. Music lovers will definitely appreciate the synergy of the songs with the story, and the wonderful choice of music used. Like the title says: the drama is a 4, the music a definite 5 (or more if I could).

HATED it! Unrealistically/dreadfully ridiculous! I get it, it's a Kdrama. Of course, some unrealistic is bound to happen within the context but you've got to be kidding me. The acting was as poor as the direction of the Kdrama. I just did not like it at all! Chemistry was lacking, to say the least, and the abrupt ending did not suit me except the fact that I was happy that it ENDED.

I love the OST Its very good in general. There are sometimes when it gets boring. They can drag the parts when they are talking about the rules of dating a little too much, and it makes it tiring. The acting is not first class, but it isnt that bad either. It has lots of funny parts, and what I like the most is the fact that every character has its flaws and good sides too, so you dont have to hate or love anyone in paricular, but just enjoy every character for what they are.

Fun and Original It's very different and I think most people don't appreciate this drama because of it's complexity and adult humor. But if you give it a shot you'll be in for a treat. This is by far my favorite Korean drama. I can say without a doubt there will be a character in this drama that you'll find yourself relating to. It has everything - comedy, angst, adultery....except a high school! (Unbelievable, I know) This show is not only entertaining but it has a lot to teach about boys, love, and destiny without most of the cheese and soap that comes with most dramas.

Odd story development, Great OST After watching City Hall and Coffee Prince, I don't think many Kdramas will compare. This was no exception. The premise of soulmates was a good one, but story was developed in the oddest way. There were so many missed opportunities in this production that could have made it a truly great drama. A few random thoughts but are we supposed to believe that Ju-ho will end up with Yu-Jin? In what world? What was the deal with the dog Pilsun? Did she buy another one? LOL. What was up with RyoHei's clothes? Granted, there were some very funny moments but the OST was by far the best part. By the end, I was rooting more for the supporting characters than the main characters. Good watch for a weekend, but don't invest too much time and energy into it.

It was Okay The few episodes were awesome and those were the ones that sucked me in the drama. Then when i found out it only had 12 episodes then i knew that they either had to end it quickly because nobody was watching it in Korea. This drama was good from the beginning to about the 6th or 7th episode.
