Over the Rainbow Starring Ji Hyun Woo and Hwan Hee of Fly to the Sky

If you like the husky, sexy voice of Hwanhee and you want some b-boy action, this is the drama for you. Over the Rainbow is the story of four performers who find themselves in the dog-eat-dog world of performing. It follows their journey to stardom and their quest for romance. The soundtrack features Hwanhee from Fly to the Sky and real dancers from the Korean b-boy scene. Backstabbing between the characters abounds, as the characters attitudes change as they achieve fame – or fall from grace.

Also known as Dance Battle. Visit our friends at Drama Wiki and Hancinema for additional information about this drama.

No No No No.... Rex needed someone with strong personality and 'not-so-special' character. And she's been a fan for forever and changed Rex's attitude and personality on a positive note! Loved the singing and the dancing. Thought everyone's character was right-on and did an awesome job potraying who they were suppose to be. Bravo on the story line, kept me glued for the 3 days I watched it. More, more, more!!!!!

I'm glad I didn't pay attention to the reviews because this drama was actually better than I thought it was going to be, The dancing was pretty good and the soundtrack wasn't bad either. The four main characters were definitely memorable, along with a great supporting cast, they all did a great job. There were some frustrating, happy, and some sad moments in the drama that kept me watching to the end, something I sometimes don't do. But I have to definitely point out my man REX!! he was off the chain with his acting, dancing, and SINGING. HIGH FIVE!!!

I'd like to give it a 4.5, but I'll round up. I was relieved that when portraying the music industry they used musicians and dancers who were up to par and put effort into the musical score (if they had not I would have bailed). Although there are four main characters, there are many supporting characters and those story arcs are engaging and the acting is great (it's not just about kids). I think this drama received some low scores because some of the characters are not likeable. As in life the characters struggle with decisions, make bad choices, change their minds, lose their way, and so forth. It can be frustrating, OK after a while I had an urge to FF whenever Hee Su appears. Love the practice song from Rex (Hwan Hee) - ep 4 about 49 minutes in.

I am just watching this drama in December 2011. All though it didn't have a power steam story it was realistic,it had a lot of feelings and emotions and superb chemistry between the characters. The acting was good. The music and entertainment was good. This is an old drama but I enjoyed it.

I most likely would not have watch this drama based on some of the reviews I read on this site.... Thank god I read raving reviews on another site, and watched it. This is a really nice drama about true love. The main characters were all interesting, The music was very good and I enjoyed the dancing and the behind the stage stuff. At one point I did not know who Sang Mi would end up with, and in fact I really did not mind any of the two main actors, they were both handsome, and talented. I appreciate the struggle for success that was portrayed, and the idea of following your dream. I enjoyed the ending very much and both main actors (male) could really sing and dance.

This drama isn't flashy like most Korean drama's. The main thing I can say about it is that its really interesting. It seems like a realistic view of the music industry with realistic personalities and a realistic plot. It doesn't overdo it with the drama. I liked the fact that the problems the characters experienced were ones that the audience could relate to. Everybody experiences times when they are selfish, suffering in love and going through hard times in order to succeed. Its a good drama to watch if you're getting tired of exaggerated, life or death romances and melodramas. The singing and the awesome dancing doesn't hurt either. [Kudos for spectacular b-boying by Last for One's Zero-Nine!]
