When average salaryman Kang Gun (Yoo Gun) is accidentally caught up in a street fight, he discovers he has a natural talent for fighting. Driven by the memory of his father, a boxer who had died in the ring, he enters the world of fighting, and along the way he discovers friendship and romance. On his quest to become a true fighter, he develops deep bonds and transforms from a boy into a man.

This was just an incredible show depicting the lives of street level and professional fighters. It really develops the personalities of the main characters (especially Yoo Gun) very well and in a very interesting way. The fight scenes are unrealistic but very entertaining (I do enjoy this recent movement towards more realistic fights). It wasn't perfect but I'm going to give it 5 stars so that more people might watch it... It's that good!

Unfortunately great drama like that doesn't last......the action make up for the lack of detail ....

Not sure if it was because I was gaming earlier or what but I seriously was expecting a voice over at the end of the fights (especially the one on the truck) to say "fatality". But all in all the story line was run of the mill for a fight movie. But the acting that was done was pretty good on every ones part and this was enjoyable to watch. Only thing I was disappointed in was the muay thai fight. I really wish they would have not have edited the scene the way they did. Really took away from the fight scene. I don't know much about fighting but I do know I would have rather watched the impact of the fight than the scene getting chopped to bits because someone thought it would be nifty to mess around with it. Only getting 4 stars because I would have definitely liked to see more fight scenes.

At First I was thinking how young and cute Yoo Gun looks like and how he could protect his girlfriend from the hard life surroundings her.. And i thought it would be too young for him to be in the movie... But, after watching the acting and the story goes.. Have to admit, Yoo Gun finally gain a stronger character... And have amazing love, friendship, brotherhood in the story... Also.. Love the Ending.. :) Wonder how Yoo Gun would look like when he is finishing his army training..

I had to take 'breaks' between episodes as the fighting scenes were so intense! But really enjoyed the series. Glad it was only 8 episodes as I don't think my stomach could have taken much more. :-) All I gotta say is I hope the fighting actors were paid very well, because they earned every-single-won!!!! Amazing fighting!

I watch MMA fights all the time on youtube, PPV and live shows (UFC, PRIDE, StrikeForce, Bellator, local promotions, etc). Some fights scenes are believable, but many are really faked like those martial movies. The best fighters with UFC (the biggest promotion, worth 1.5 billion dollars) make millions per fight. MMA is very popular now. UFC also bought Pride (originally Japanese promotion and bought Strikeforce (the only other big promotion). There are actually two Korean fighters in UFC roster, they are good, but not the best yet. These fighters take a lot of physical damage every time they fight in the cage or ring with the referee and rules, so the story is not very realistic this day for them to fight in the asphalt or on the truck bed. Those high kicks don't work either, but they will do for entertainment value for most people. The story is good, but the two brothers character are very silly.
