Romance of the Three Kingdoms - Part 1: The Heroes Struggle for Power

Based on the classic novel by Luo Guanzhong, Romance of the Three Kingdoms is an epic series that covers the end of the Han Dynasty to the start of the Three Kingdoms period in China's long history. It took four years and 1000 people to complete this drama, and to date, is one of the most expensive Chinese dramas to be produced. Because of the length and scope of the drama, some actors took up several roles, and some roles had more than one actor portraying it.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is split into five parts. In Part 1, The Heroes Struggle for Power, we are first introduced to the three great military generals of China, during that period - Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei. Beginning with the Oath of the Peach Garden, where these three generals swear brotherhood to one another, the first part takes us through all the wars as three men vie for power in China. It ends with the game-changing Battle of Guandu.

Continue watching with Part 2 - The Battle of Red Cliff.

I think DramaFever either needs to hire better translators or need better editors. The translated English doesn't flow very well, and in certain places isn't very accurate. The translation is actually missing a lot of stuff in places.

I've read the remastered novel/epic "Romance of Three Kingdoms" and I loved it so I'll see how the show holds up, Already wishing it were just in a long string of 3 hour movies rather than episodes though. Makes this even more time consuming considering ad time

I do not understand why many dramas I watch here have the black wide side blocks squeezing the view into a square. When I see this and other dramas elsewhere I can get the wide screen! I have tried to watch this twice and the quality for some reason is not good.

I've been looking for this version for a long time but never found it in high quality like this, After watching the newest Three Kingdoms, this version is much better, closer to the story line (the book), and characters are great. Keep in mind that this drama was made back in 1994 so the graphic, motions and makeup are old fashion. But it won't stop me watching it again and again.

Everything is awesome the storyline and the development of each character. But I watched so much high quality Korean dramas like Jumong and WBDS that those one-slapper turn the guy flipping in the air and stuff like that doesn't move me anymore. Slap the guy on the chest with no body no strength and yet with one hand his separating 2 strong men and main actors and flab fat and stuff how come they one slap someone to make him flip 3 time sin the air??
