Super Rookie Starring Eric, Han Ga In, and Oh Ji Ho

Super Rookie is a charming and light-hearted comedy about the inner workings of corporate culture through the lives of four young rookie employees at a major company. Starring Eric Moon of former top Kpop group Shinhwa and star of hits such as Strongest Chil Woo and Que Sera Sera (both available on DramaFever), it pulled in ratings of over 20% upon its airing in 2005.

Kang Ho's (Eric’s character) life is all play and no work. A street smart, carefree young man, he spends his days chasing women, reading comics, playing cards, and kickboxing. His jobs last just as long as his relationships - a couple of weeks max. But when a computer error gives him the chance to work at a prestigious company, Kang Ho decides that maybe it's time to step up and prove everyone wrong. Now, the man who's never done a real day of work in his life is out to show the corporate powers how it's done. Lee Me Ok (Han Ga In of Dr. Kkang which is also available on DramaFever), a spirited contract worker, Lee Bong-sam (Oh Ji Ho), a dedicated professional, and Seo Hyeon-a (Lee So Yeon), the privileged daughter of a wealthy family, co-star as Kang Ho's fellow "rookie" employees.

Which is good because the plot is pretty unbelievable. Kang Ho the "hero" is a bum who also happens to be an amazing martial artist, accomplished dancer, and masterful snooker player, AND an around nice guy. The "villain" Lee Bong-sam is hard working and intelligent. He studied & got into a good university against the odds - broken family, alcoholic/abusive father, poverty. The female baddy Seo Hyeon-a (played by the talented Lee So Yeon) is bad because she happens to come from privilege (which she doesn't seem to flaunt that much). The female goody Lee Me Ok is your typical spurned good girl who you know will blossom in the end. I wish these shows were "choose your own adventure" because I particularly wanted Hyeon-a to come out on top at the end. I don't know if it was Yeon's acting or that her character was more interesting (both) she she stole the scenes she was in along with Ho's brother Min played by Suh Dong Won who is a hoot. Perfect? No, but I really enjoyed it.

I like this drama... not too much of suffering, no that much heartbreaking... and good exemplary of perseverance and virtue.

I only watched this to see Oh Ji Ho, whose God-given looks and talents are not missed in anything he acts in. Yet, this was an endearing story of someone who rose above difficulty while maintaining integrity. GREAT DRAMA.

Super Rookie shows the clear message about modern society; everyone has the symbol of someone who seems to be the important, priority person today. However this drama casts out our stereo type of value system. Yet, it is really funny. Not only Eric but also every actors were playing very good. I think I have to ignore rating of DramaFever in general. It is often disturbing to make a decision what to watch. Anyway, it is nice to have this Korean drama website. Don't miss Super Rookie because of average rating! It should give more than 5 or 6 stars.

This drama was funny and entertaining but it could've been better. It dragged towards the middle and got a little boring. Eric Moon and Oh Ji Ho were great and both are very cute!

I've never laughed so much watching other dramas as I did in this one. Every time Kang Ho and his friends/brother got together they were funny, they played great losers! After watching Chuno and Couple or Trouble, it was weird to see Oh Ji Ho play the "bad guy" but overall I liked the drama and would recommend people to see it.
