Flames of Desire starring Yoo Seung Ho, Shin Eun Gyung, and Seo Woo

Two of Korea's hottest young stars make the leap to adult roles in this deliciously twisted saga of love, lust, greed and ambition.

Kim Tae Jin (Lee Soon Jae) is the aging head of a business empire, and his family has already begun eying succession to the company. The most ruthless and clever of them is Tae Jin's daughter-in-law Yoon Na Young (Shin Eun Gyung), who married his third son. Her stepson and Tae Jin's grandson Kim Min Jae (Yoo Seung Ho) meanwhile, is all set to become the heir. Baek Soo Bin (Seo Woo) is an actress who gets involved in a scandal and must marry quickly. Through a series of events she and Min Jae enter into an arranged marriage. At first they have little use for each other, but gradually their feelings deepen. A dark secret surrounds Min Jae's birth, however, and Soo Bin may also have closer ties to his family than he realizes. The family will be torn to and fro as Na Young manipulates both husband and son to get what she wants.

This is the 1st (hopefully last) korean drama that I stopped watching half way through.. Seo Woo's acting is really bad (she was making some strange faces). Actually she looked scary to me. Did not like her at all. On top of it the first 25 episodes were boring. Even if the next episodes are great (I doubt it), by now I can't stand this actress and this drama and nothing will make me watch another 5 minutes of it.

I can't believe I've even watched up to this many episodes! UGH! I started rolling my eyes at least 15 episodes ago....why oh why did I continue on? I can't take the crappy script any longer. I can't watch In Ki's chopped up face another minute (plastic surgery gone way wrong?) or listen to her baby-talk voice. To be honest, I've only kept up with it because Yoo Seung Ho is so freaking gorgeous, it's dreamy just looking at his eyes and those eyebrows (+ lips/nose/etc. etc. etc. lol). Sigh. It just SUCKS for real. Don't waste your time.

This is what I would call a 'Hyper Drama'. Shin Yung Gyun is an excellent theatrical actor and she plays the part of Yoon Nayoung perfectly. The writers just left out the part where of the story where they show how she became addicted to crack and started behaving like Whitney Houston all the time. I left out one star because there is some 'lazy writing' in this drama that makes for certain parts of the story line being unrealistic and stupid. Also there is so much crying that you completely lose sympathy for any of the characters. I especially hate 'Dumb Dumb' or Yoon Nayoung's sister the most. Soo Woo's character I found to be particularly manipulative and weird.

I kind of agree with everyone... why does Seo Woo keep making those weird eye movements and crazy smirks...she reminds me of the actress that played in the Horror Movie The Ring....that's the kind of story where all that weird overacting is needed not this drama...but other than that the story is pretty good especially the adult roles..but it should of just ended with at least 20-30 episodes 50 is just way to drawn out to tell this story it gets repetitive most episodes after 20...I mean really how many episodes does it take to show Nayoung is nuts, her husband has no backbone, and her son spends most of the drama being bullied by everyone especially is so called mother..even though it was decent to watch I would only give it 2.5 out of 5 stars....BTW I CAN'T BELIEVE I WATCHED 50 EPISODES JUST FOR THAT CRAPPY ASS ENDING!!!
