A funny, offbeat comedy, Once Upon a Time in Saengchori is about a group of city people who are forced to move to a small country village. Ha Suk Jin (Sad Love Song), Lee Young Eun (Full House, Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors), and Kim Dong Yoon (Dong Yi) lead the cast. Baker King's Yoon Shi Yoon and Daniel Choi cameo.
When a group of brokerage firm employees are relocated by their firm to the rural town of Saengchori, hijinks ensue. As romance blooms, bizarre events begin to occur, and a murder mystery comes to light. As they uncover the truth at the heart of Saengchori, the employees find themselves more and more drawn to this small town and its quirky residents - but some people will do anything to keep their secrets hidden...

This drama was so funny. The characters were all very likeable. I loved the shaman girl. My only problem with this show is that I wished it would have developed the romance a little deeper!

I was gripped by this drama from the get-go. Once Upon a Time in Saengchori is original, well cast and so entertaining! It combines suspense, romance, humor (so funny!) in such a seamless way. Not perfect but very, very good. I recommend it.

There's definitely glaring flaws in the scriptwriting, hence leading to clunky developed relationships and something to be desired in the ending. However, it's undeniable that this drama was extremely entertaining, fast-paced and fun! Please don't let the first episode turn you off from watching the series because you'll be missing out! Give this drama a shot, it's an enjoyable watch!

Another fun K-drama. This one had something of every thing in it. Romance, comedy, mystery and murder. The actors played their roles to perfection. Bae Geu Rin was outstanding as Victoria.

LOL! The president's name is "Park Gyu" which sounds like F...U. hahahah!! Just finished watching the whole drama. It is very riveting and fun to watch. There is drama, comedy, love, twists and turns along the way. Mini-stories are interwoven into the main plot and the various characters have well developed personalities which are not over the top. Had a really good time watching it and hope you will too!

I like how it starts out as somewhat of a romantic comedy feel for it with hints of the murder mystery that are sprinkle throughout most of the show. It is not until the last three or four episodes does it twist more into focusing on the darker elements in this show. Than it goes a mind reeling pace that makes you wish it lasted longer. The ending tried to be symbolic but compared to the pace they had been setting seemed a little off. It would have been find if it was just a romantic comedy. Still even with the odd ending I really enjoy the characters until the end.

this was one of the first VERY funny kdrama shows i've seen!!!! I haven't laughed that hard in awhile!!! all the way up till about episode 15 or so... then it gets really weird and twisted... i would have put this as one of my top 5 shows, if it wasn't for the ending... the ending was horrible... if there was a part 2, i could totally accept the fact that story lines were not finished and characters were dropped and story lines just faded away... the ending was rushed and very disappointing!!!!

What a crazy house of zany characters mixing it up in this one part murder mystery, two part love triangle, three part book of deadly secretes. Combine all these ingredients together and you create a concoction that will enrich the senses giving this drama that extra oomph of excitement. You will be laughing, going stir crazy, scratching your head, and getting whiplash all at the same time. Saengchori reminds me of a town shown on an episode of the twilight zone. The senior town folk are nothing like the seniors portrayed in cocoon but rather seniors of the corn. As for the securtities firm, 'Wall Street it isn't', but more like Mad House with a financial twist. It was fun watching the events unfold bringing the two lead characters together, like mixing gasoline and fire. As for the 'who done it' murder mystery, you will be scratching your head up until the very end. This sanctuary of fun will definitely keep you entertained throughout. Well done.N
