As I've watched "Sparkling" I've cried, gotten mad at the antagonists, and hooped and hollered when things went well for the protagonists (especially when he finally kissed her). When we first meet Han Jung-won portrayed by Kim Hyun-joo, she appears to be the typical spoiled rich girl but we soon learn that she is the embodiment of loyalty, selflessness, love, and determination and is, I believe, the driving force behind "Sparkling". In the beginning, Song Seung-joon, portrayed by Kim Suk-hoon comes across as arrogant and over-bearing, but as the show progresses his character's steadfast resolve shows that he's not afraid to make sacrifices to protect and stand by the person he loves. Pleased with the conclusion of the series.

the less-wealthy girl is trying to make it so the rich isn't accepted in either house! the editor's mother is a mob boss! that's right up Geum An's alley. and the editor spilled hot coffee on his hands and it didn't burn him?! Well written story, without any extra fluff or too many flash-backs. Didn't like the ending Dae Bum-shi should have gotten the lady's heart, he was the only non-jerk.

Let me start by saying I love this drama. It is really well done: acting, script, direction and staging. I have cried already several times, I am so moved by the story. I do think it is a little unrealistic. How could the mother and brother have such negative feelings towards JW?! This makes no sense to me!!!! I also do not like JW/GR sisters or her father, but not because they are evil, rather cause they yell too much and he gambles. On the other hand I love our heroine and her two love interest. The poor mom, the rich dad, the uncle all seem like good people. I especially love JW kind heart and brightness. I REALLY do NOT like GR. I understand her moving to the rich parents house, but to completly negate her family of 28 yrs seems extreme. Also why does she hate JW so much? She keeps saying that JW stole her life but that is not true. How could she be so conniving? She keeps thinking JW has alterior motives but she is they one like that, she is just reflecting on JW her own defects.

As I was reading most of the posts, it kind of shocked me a little to hear some people say Lee Yoo Ri acting is bad. Lee Yoo Ri is a great actress expecially when she played in the drama "Daring Women". If anyone seen that drama then they know what I'm talking about, but if you don't then I recommend you to go see it. Daring Women is a very touching drama. I think most people don't like Lee Yoo Ri is probably cause of the character she play in this drama "Geum Ran". I was kind of disappointed in her character, I thought I would get to see Lee Yoo Ri play is another good drama but I end up being annoyed with her character a little. Geum Ran is so focus on getting "revenge" on Han Jung Won just because she hated the struggle she went through and is overly jealous of Han Jung Won. Even though Geum is not my favorite character, this drama is good to watch.

Before the secret was out, I had alot of sympathy for Geum Ran. But as the episode progresses, I am starting to dislike her. She really is very conniving and condescending. Feel really bad for Jung Won, and several times watching her interact with her biological mom and current mom made me want to cry as well. That's when you know the actress is good! I hope the parents wont be tricked by Geum Ran and somehow kick Jung Won out!

For me, I find that most girls that are raised poor are jealous of those girls who are both middle class and upper class. I was raised middle class, became up middle class and now I am of the working poor..but I was never mean to anyone, just like the star of this Drama....I love the Lead Actress...she is Daddy's Girl !!! Getting better and better...I love this Drama...the more I watch, the more its great acting...

This drama was fantastic and another reason why I love K-dramas. The acting was great and the storyline was gripping. The drama was never boring and didn't seem to be 54 episodes. The chemistry between Han Jung Won & Kim Suk Hoon was present and great to watch. Sparkling is definitely one drama not to miss.
