A Thousand Days' Promise starring Kim Rae Won and Soo Ae

Soo Ae (9 End 2 Outs, Athena) and Kim Rae Won (Gourmet) unite in this romantic melodrama about love that transcends all difficulties in life. This marks Kim Rae Won's first drama since leaving the army, and already he sizzles up the screen with his onscreen partner.

Lee Seo Yeon (Soo Ae) is a ghostwriter and editor who's led a difficult life ever since her mother abandoned both her and her brother. She falls in love with Park Ji Hyung (Kim Rae Won), a friend of her older cousin who also happens to be engaged to someone else - Noh Hyang Gi (Jung Yoo Mi). Though his marriage to Hyang Gi has been arranged practically since birth, his heart is deeply loyal to Seo Yeon. The two of them have a complicated relationship, as she doesn't want to marry him and have him abandon his wealthy family for her, and he finds himself unable to break up his engagement. But their love is tested when Seo Yeon finds that she is slowly losing all of her memory...

This drama was very well acted. Both Park Soo Ae and Kim Rae Won did an amazing job. With each new drama Kim Rae Won gets better and better. The drama overall was good but very depressing. I did read that some have compared it to other melodramas such as Stairway to Heaven....I have to disagree. This drama was different and didn't affect me as others. Still I do recommend it for the performances.

If you like the shows on Lifetime, then this is for you because this has an adult themed plot. The acting was superb and the story was so-so. I dont know if they wanted us to feel sorry for the main characters or not. The only people I felt sorry for were the parents and the Fiance who was dumped. Those characters gave the best performances. The music was absolutely Dry (boring as h*ll) and I felt the 20 episodes was just way too long for this particular show.. This was sad and pitiful the whole way thru, so basically if you are in a sad mood already then watch this, but if you're happy and upbeat, absolutely skip this movie.. NOT in my top 50 movies

This drama truly spoke to the heart, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part. The meaning behind these words could not have been better represented over the course of watching this drama. I am humbled, that a love like this exists and if put to the test would I have the courage to step up and sacrifice everything for love. This drama sheds a light on a disease that for most considered to only afflict the elderly and showed that no one is immune regardless of age. The actors did a remarkable job showing the affects this disease has on family, friends and love ones. Like with all dramas, you have that side story that initially draws the viewers in, however when you look past that, you come to appreciate the deeper meaning this drama tries to convey.

The best , the pace of the drama is unique. Kim Rae Won is much more mature and we are expecting more from him.

Such phony baloney. Love? There is something about this story I am not buying. Question: Why was he so uncomfortable around his ex? She was a girl who grew up with him who was kind and understanding...like a sister He was uncomfortable because he knew he f*****ed up and wished he had married her. The cheaters were set up as losers from the beginning. They could never be truly happy because they could NEVER TRUST each other. Ji Hung..STOP with the crocodile tears already. Take your self-inflicted punishment like a man. Aigoo...... KARMA Rocks!

I would love to watch this, but the fact that ep 12 being unavailable kinda stops me. I don't want to get sucked and then miss a whole episode. Is this problem going to get fixed or will i have to forget about this drama?

I watched the series in small doses...since each episode is a big tear-jerk! I love the acting, the story line, the whole package. I love the main leads, as well as all supporting actors, but moreover, I love Lee Sang Woo here, I so look forward to each of his appearances...
