Wild Romance starring Lee Dong Wook and Lee Si Young
Pro baseball player Mu Yeol is the star player of the Red Dreamers, renowned for both his skill and his bad temper. Eun Jae is a lifelong fan of the Blue Seagulls, the Red Dreamers' rival team, who hates him. See what happens when two mortal enemies are suddenly thrown together by fate.
With this hilarious screwball comedy, Lee Dong Wook switches gears from his more serious role in the weepie, Scent of a Woman, and busts out his comic chops to play a brash, arrogant baseball star. After landing a number of compelling supporting roles before starring in 2011's Poseidon, Lee Si Young also gives it everything she's got as the stubborn bodyguard-by-trade, Eun Jae. A chance meeting during a drunken night of karaoke leads to a scuffle, which Eun Jae easily wins, flipping Mu Yeol on his back. The fight was captured on video however and soon erupts in a huge scandal, with Mu Yeol's reputation and Eun Jae's career as a bodyguard at stake. To fix things, their respective employers agree to assign Eun Jae to act as Mu Yeol's bodyguard. Now, the this mismatched pair are around each other 24/7, and in the midst of constant battling and working to find each other's weak spots, they find out more about each other than they realized. Sparks fly between Lee Dong Wook and Lee Si Young in this fast-paced and entertaining comedy.
Boy! Is Thriller Comedy an oxymoron? Characters to me can make or brake a movie. This cast was great from the geeky overly serious Director Kim to the overaggressive book worm and the "Kathy Bates Psycho" and these were not even the main Characters. Let us mix in a hot tempered shortstop and a female bodyguard with an attitude and an overly enthusiastic support for the opposing team. The cast continues with best friends who are the perfect family and families who are quit dysfunctional. Black mailers, grudgies, envies and loves..........I enjoyed this Drama and was able to laugh in every episode.
i didn't like her character in this drama at all.
for some reason, when her part is on, i just want to skip it.
i fell in love with her best friend kim dong ah and director kim love line more than the main character.
Great for a laugh, Nice job from the leads,Even better job from the leads best friend, liked the twist in the end but i could hAve done with a bit more at the end
These drama is really funny. The characters are well defined, and the story is great. My only complain is the fact there weren't many romantics touching scenes. And, no kissing... just in the end.
However, It worked out very well for me. I fell in love here.
Peace!
Eun Jae and Park Mu Yeuol had great chemistry and Eun Jae was so funny with her nuances and facial expression. I laughed throughout the drama. And Director Kim & Dong Ah's romance was adorable, i loved to watch them all the time. Overall the writers did a good job in incorporating suspense, comedy, and romance. Great Comedy!!
this was definately a feel good comedy in my books. It was hilarious throughout, i thought the two leads had good friendship chemistry but despite the title "wild romance" this drama definately LACKED romance between the two leads. There was more romance between Park mu yeol and his ex girl friend. I think my favourite part was the the little side thing that Ah dong and director Kim had going on.
At first I thought this drama is not really that great seeing the rating was only 4. So my friend told me to watch this, and fortunately, I gave this drama a try. And OMG, I'm glad to watch this. What's so great about this? LEE SI YOUNG! She's so adorable, and funny. I didn't know that she could act that awesomely. I know the romance is a bit slow, but it didn't matter that much to me. I found this drama to have a perfect balance of romance, comedy and thrill. Seriously people, give it a try!
Time out, time out let me catch my breath. Truer words were never spoken for this quirky, delightful thrill of a ride drama. Right out of the gates this drama had me bawling with laughter. This notion of having an athlete being protected by a female bodyguard half his size who he can't stand is a wicked concept. You throw baseball into the mix and you can't lose. All the characters in this drama are a little off from Eun Jae's fanatical sports family and including their eccentric landlord, the robotic public relations executive down to her boss with his delusions of grandeur. How these two switch from being each other's nemesis to being romantically involved leaves you wondering, in what reality could this actually happen? But it does, and I look forward to it with anticipation. But wait, there's more ; read comment.
Too much plot focused around the secretive villain. There are romantic moments but one has to be patient. The two leads are attractive but I was really turned off by the female lead's characterization. The first few episodes were really tough to get over and I evetually warmed up to the show and watched it to the end. I was most interested and looked forward to the budding romance between the uptight PR director and the imaginative writer/landlord. I could almost imagine the story rewritten to focus the wild romance around those two characters. I also enjoyed the loving marriage of the male lead's friends; too bad the wrtier had to create some crises with them. I like all the actors in this show, and it's commendable that most of the secondary actors are likable. All the actors did a good job despite the uneven plot. My rating is 3.5 stars.
Adapted from the classic manga, Itazura no Kiss, the director of Goong brings a fresh look into the ups and downs of falling in love through the course of high school and college.
