Loving You a Thousand Times starring Lee Soo Kyung and Jung Kyeo Woon

Lee Soo Kyung of cult hit Soulmate and Jung Kyeo-woon of Hateful But Once Again. Ryu Jin of Capital Scandal and Super Junior's Heechul propelled this unusual and endearing drama to high ratings.

Go Eun Nim (Lee Soo Kyung) is in a desperate situation. Struggling to support her poor family and sick father while studying to become a teacher, she's running out of options. Baek Sae Hoon (Ryu Jin) is the oldest son of the Hoon family and stands to receive all the family inheritance, but he and his wife cannot conceive a child. Resorting to surrogacy, the couple goes to Eun Nim with a proposal she cannot afford to refuse. Sae Hoon's younger brother Baek Kang Ho, meanwhile, is the bastard child of an affair their father had, and his stepmother despises him as a result.

Eun Nim thinks that carrying their baby will be where her connection to the Hoon family ends, but unexpectedly she and Kang Ho begin to fall in love.

I started this drama because of Kim Heechul but the character I really fell for was Gang Ho. 5 stars to Jung Gyu Woon. I first saw him in History of a Salaryman and like his work there. Now I am going to watch everything I can find him in. The drama starts slow and the switch between different character's story lines isn't always the smoothest but I still enjoyed it.

I was a little tempted to not watch this drama in its entirety after the first few episodes, but as most K-dramas start off slow by dragging out the plot leading to the climax I would have missed out. I found out about this drama all thanks to a you tuber Kim Heechul Fan and thanks to them i found a really good 55 episode show to watch. I has everything from Love, sadness, betrayal to the five fingers to the face! it was an awesome watch and well worth the time. Reviews are others opinions on what they think so dont let it discourage you, watch it for yourself and then decide.

i didn't like it first b/c it kind of dragged on before it got to the good stuff. i'm at episode 25 now and they're really kicking it up a notch. at first i hated that cheating husband and felt sorry for the wife and by the end of it i felt the opposite way. she was acting like such a witch and i couldn't stand to hear a word from her mouth. honestly i like the mother so much better after she got alzheimers, she's so much nicer then. i know that's really offensive b/c that's one of the worst diseases to have but that doesn't make what i said not true.

I'm undecided about this one. Wow for Jung Gyu Woon's character. He was able to show his love so consistently. Even when he briefly fell apart, it was because of the intense love he felt. Some of the women were shown as wishy-washy, one being especially spoiled rotten, some very selfish. And like most k-dramas I've seen, tears were flowing freely in about every episode. Great story line, too drawn out, the drama ended--well--it ended. I didn't like the way it ended. I appreciated knowing two people who strongly loved each other remained together, but we were left hanging. The people with higher status gave themselves permission to put down others while overlooking some of the things they did that were just as bad or worse. I wish the writer could have shown the women in a more positive light as some of them seemed to be stereotyped. Yes, I know. It's a drama for entertainment, but it doesn't have to be both underwhelming and overwhelming us. Just take a good story line and do good things with it.

This show had a great storyline. The last 5 episodes had me crying constantly!!!Some of the characterizations took crazy turns throughout the progression of the series. Those you start out rooting for and sympathizing with will soon become the one you start hating and yelling at! I loved Kang-Ho throughout the entire series but, not his brother or stepmom. By the end, I felt sorry for the stepmom because her demons caught up with her and Sae-Hoon even redeemed himself somewhat - His wife on the other hand was a _itch on wheels near the end and I just wanted to choke her! Eun-Nim's oldest sister was a pain in my tush also but, near the end, she became tolerable. The kid playing Yoo-Bin was way too adorable!

At first i was impressed about the story because it was new and never done on dramas before but then it was dragged out so much that i began to hate the execution for it. Plus the characters are too frustrating, the main couple are not passionate enough, they are so awkward at times together, i mean not even kiss when they are married? what is that? All the bad characters get redemption near the end but the main girl, who has suffered more than everybody, is still suffering until the very last episode where she makes it alive but in the end she still doesn't have much except for her great husband, how come she was sick and still had no child? whatever i dont consider that a good ending, it certainly was not good payoff after all the suffering she went through and this drama disappointed me a LOT

I found the drama interesting. Lots of topics that one could discuss with young adults. Isn't it amazing how people mess their lives up. Loved the characters in their roles they did good jobs with their acting. I cried quite a few tears ... keep the tissues handy. What can I say without spoiling the show... give it a shot. Note I was a little impatient with a couple episodes. It just seemed like things were getting dragged out.

Good movie. The moral story of this movie is that 1. If you are ungrateful B**ch like the sister in law you get everything at the end (she does dress up like a cheap hooker doesn't she?) 2. If you are a good girl and always do right thing(s) like Un Nim, you will suffer until the end Is it me or the step mother script is deeper and more meaningful toward the end of the movie?
