One Percent of Anything starring Kang Dong Won and Kim Jung Hwa

Kang Dong Won brings his usual charm and boyish good looks, and drama veteran Kim Jung Hwa (Snow White, When It's at Night) is a perfect casting match.

When kind-hearted school teacher Kim Da Hyun helps out an elderly man on the subway coming home one day, she unknowingly sets into motion a matchmaking whirlwind with his wealthy, but cold grandson, Jae In. Inspired by her kindness, the old man, Chairman Lee writes her into his will as his inheritor, with the stipulation that neither of his grandsons will get a cent of the inheritance unless they pursue and marry her. Jae In, who has displeased his grandfather in the past, is furious at this unexpected turn of events, and questions Da Hyun's motives.

Nevertheless, he decides to pursue her to ensure that the other grandson doesn't gain an advantage. Unfortunately for him, however, Da Hyun repels his tainted advances. The spoiled rich boy soon finds himself oddly drawn to the strong-willed and independent woman. In between arguments, the two begin to fall in love, but they'll have to face many more obstacles on the path to happiness.

A happy coupling results in a marriage were the sadness is halved and the joy is doubled. One family raised generous and loving children that go forth and make the world better; while the other family created bitterness and loneliness. Bringing them together presents a great opportunity for drama, comedy and, of course, romance. Happily, none of the tragic life turns we expect in US TV did not show up. I enjoyed the story, the actors the characters and the humor. It was like eating my favorite ice cream. I do have to wonder though why the angry male is such a prevalent theme in Kdrama rom/com.

I could not watch anymore of this boring drama. The only one who is worth watching is the grandpa. He's funny. I made it somehow to Episode 14; but I just cannot endure another 12. A combination of mediocre actors/actresses and a bad story equals dah, dah, dah....Ugh! Not good.

One of the Korean drama that got me hooked on Korean soaps. Full House, Spring Waltz, Stairway to Heaven, Wonderful Life and Princes Hour. Now I am waiting for my MY LOVE BY MY SIDE to come to this Web side and I hope it is soon. Thank you...

It was slow paced and nothing really exciting although still sweet. Episode 26 (last one) really lacks translations badly-throughout the whole series some sentences werent translated but 26 is horrible. I am 26mins into it and I dont know what is being said in most of the conversations. One person talks and its not translated, then the other person responds to them and that is translated so you really are filling in the blanks. Its frustrating specially when Hyeong said something mean to Jae-yeong and no idea what was said! People over at dramafever must have been sleeping during this episode! It would have been 5 stars had I felt I knew exactly what was going on and not confused by the translations.. 4 stars.. Spoiler beyond: I also had no clue Hyun and Tae-ha slept together. I understand they are conservative in their culture but at least give us an assumption-leaving the same hotel room or waking up in bed together or something... I felt that was carried out very well at all.

Interesting storyline but just couldn't get into this drama. I stopped at episode 6 and couldn't go any further, it's a tad bit slow for my liking.

I have lost count of how many times i have watched this drama. I had watched it since 2005, and every few years i have to watch it again and reminisce about the good k-drama oldies.

I like his character and the doctor's better. Less headache to watch--warm feeling--ha.ha.

I actually like this because its so different than the more modern dramas but being a relative newbie, am I the only one who dislikes Teacher Kang? His attitude of damn how she feels is grating on me! Overall, a very entertaining drama!

This drama was just ok, nothing really to brag about. I thought it was too long. It could have been wrapped up in 16 episodes..

It got me through the summer and I love humble stories... You throw in arrange marriage and misunderstanding, it is easier because we can see it... but when you live it, it is quite hard to determine whether this person is ok or not :) I think :)
