9 End 2 Outs is a hilarious, completely endearing romantic comedy with a twist. Bong Nan Hee (Park Soo Ae) and Byun Hyung Tae (Lee Jung Jin) have been best friends for 30 years. They cook for each other, call each other almost daily, bicker like siblings, and support each other when things go wrong. But all that is about to change. On her 30th birthday, Nan Hee hits a crisis: she is 30, unmarried, and without a successful career, and her dream of getting published in the city's spring literary festival has just been crushed yet again. She's dating a 22-year old baseball player who's still in college, and beginning to have serious doubts about the ethicality and dignity of the relationship. When Nan Hee decides that it's time to change her life and move out of her mom's house, she jumps at the chance to rent Hyung Tae's house while he goes on vacation.
But what was meant to be a short stay turns into a more permanent sort of thing when Hyung Tae returns unexpectedly, having lost all Nan Hee's rent money, and she refuses to move out until he pays her back. As the two best friends live together, they begin to discover things they never knew about each other (he's neurotic, she snores) but more importantly, will they begin to discover what their friends and family have suspected all along - that, without realizing it, they've been the most important people to each other all along?
Despite its title, 9 End 2 Outs is not about baseball, but instead about the unexpected miracles that can happen in the 9th inning of the game of love. Hyung Tae is a player not looking for marriage, while Nan Hee is a woman looking for romance everywhere but at him. Park Soo Ae and Lee Jung Jin have incredible chemistry together as the funny, squabbling, in-love-without-realizing-it pair of best friends, and 9 End 2 Outs is that rare, adult, heartwarming story about two people who can't see what's right in front of their noses.

The title is such a misnomer; baseball is merely used as a metaphor in the "game" of love. It's the age old question: Can men and women REALLY be friends? The deep friendship between the two leads was a joy to watch. It was hopeful, confusing, warm, and comfortable in the way familiar things are. I love the "situation" they found themselves in...a man and a woman--best friends, no less!-- moving in together and pretending that they're not attracted to each other...lol...On a more superficial note, can the leading man get any more attractive? O.o wow

I still come back to this one every day almost and watch - THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN, WITH GREAT ACTING . I love both the leads they have a great chemistry going. AND NO BAD CHARACTERS messing up un-necessarily. Goes to show one does not need bad characters to create a great drama to watch and enjoy. I hope we get to see more of this kind of writing, directing, and acting. My thanks to all of them. Again Wading through all the characters here I love the relationship between the main characters. I go back and watch my favorite parts often. Thanks for the great performance, the writers, directors.

The story was good and the actors were great but i was unsatisfied with the ending . I guess I was expecting a fairy tale ending.

This is a good drama, but i guess i didn't really like the characters. Good storyline and sad moments. :) I got used to the characters and they do seem to fit the drama, although i felt this drama wasn't complete.

i'm glad through browsing i found this drama. great acting, good chemistry, sweet friendship... the ending is nothing spectacular but i'm glad it's a good ending. watch this drama and you won't regret it!

This was a more mature drama, which was refreshing. There was a lot of chemistry between the main two actors.

This really goes to show that "old" dramas can still hit that spot! Unbelievably realistic and addictive. Best friends who have always been more than friends, that ultimate love story. What I LOVED the most about this drama is that none of the supporting roles are villains or antagonists, it made the whole story way more enjoyable and meaningful. I will FOREVER ship HyungHee Couple. They are soo... REAL. Oh and P.S., the OST is the kind that gets stuck in your head weeks after you're done watching it. ENJOOOY!
