Dr. Kkang Starring Yang Dong Geun and Han Ga In

When a petty gang member pretends to be a doctor in order to hide from the mob he left behind, he doesn't realize that this innocent deception will set him on the path towards love and redemption. Actor Jang Dong Geun and director Park Sung Soo of 2002 cult favorite and popular phenomenon Ruler of Your Own World reunite for this gripping drama.

Kang Dal-Go (Jang Dong Geun), a mid-level member of a Busan gang, gets kicked out of the gang after being investigated by the police and is forced to flee for his life. Hiding out in Seoul, he gets himself hired as a doctor at a nearby hospital, where he quickly clashes with Kim Yoo-Na (Han Ga In of Witch Amusement), a dedicated and outspoken doctor who criticizes his incompetence and lack of care. Gradually, however, the former gang member and the beautiful physician begin to fall in love in the mist of their clashes, to the dismay of prosecutor Suk Hee Jung (Lee Jong Hyuk of Green Rose) who is also pursuing Yoo-Na. The mix is further complicated when Hee Jung begins to have suspicions about Dal-Go's background, and Dal-Go's past begins to catch up with him when his former gang members come looking for him. To make it even worse, it turns out that he may have had something to do with the death of Yoo-Na's brother in a gang killing. Dal-Go may want to start a new life having finally met a woman he's fallen in love with, but will his past allow him? And how will Yoo-Na react when she discovers the truth?

Watch! At first I didn't get it. So glad I hung in there and watched twice. Good story, good actors. Lead actor became better and better looking the more we became acquainted with his cute, lovable, quirky, watch-loving, child-like personality. He is also a master scene-stealer. Enjoyed Dalgo giving Prosecutor facial expression lessons while he himself needs elocution lessons. Loved the dear baby. Outstanding performances by Dalgo, leading lady, Dalgo's mother, clinic's male doctor and Prosecutor . Felt so sorry for Prosecutor. Lead actress' performance very real and likable. Some parts still seem a puzzle such as his next to last speech on the mountain. - could it be the translation? Didn't like the brutal parts but all-in-all a good romantic comedy w/good ending. Watch more than once.

Enjoyable I've wanted to watch this drama since I read the synopsis a couple of years ago. Yang Dong-Geun in the lead made it even more appealing. It was worth the wait (despite the ending). All of the actors did a great job - down to Dr. Kkang's young groupies. Thanks for the upload!

Have to watch all to love it! At the beginning, it didn't seem all that interesting. But it does get better as story develops. You can just watch for Han Ga-In at the beginning if it's not interesting enough. :) After maybe a third of the series, things get more interesting and fun too at times... I watched it to see Han Ga-In, but I am glad I watched it because the series it self was very good too.

It's sort of a wash The drama is amusing because Dalgo is such a lovable dork. It's also irritating and slow because he's an overacted lovable dork that acts like a dork every minute of screen time across episodes. I'm sure that makes things clear as mud, but ... yeah. In short -- amusing in short spurts ... if you watch too much of this then it gets really, really repetitive.
