Snowman Starring Gong Hyo Jin, Jo Jae Hyun, and Oh Yun Soo

Snowman is a tale of forbidden love and the choices that arise in the face of tragedy. Suh Yeon Wook (Gong Hyo Jin) first meets Detective Han Pil Seung (Jo Jae Hyun) when she is dragged into the police station after getting into a fight with some girls. The two end up trading insults and Yeon Wook leaves certain that she'll never see him again. To her horror, however, when she gets home her sister, Yon Jung, with whom she has been living ever since their parents died, tells her that she's engaged - to Pil Seung. Yeon Wook reluctantly agrees to the marriage, but is certain that she will dislike her brother-in-law forever. Over the course of time, however, the two get over their differences and develop a close, warm relationship. But things take an unexpected turn when Yeon Wook realizes that her feelings for her brother-in-law are more than friendship or sisterly affection...and when her sister later finds out, everything is even more complicated.

Meanwhile, Cha Sung Joon, an old friend of Yeon Wook's and the son of a rich hotel owner, watches from the sidelines, in love with Yeon Wook himself but aware of her feelings for Pil Seung. Yeon Wook eventually decides to forget Pil Seung and begins dating Cha Sung Joon. Then her sister suddenly dies, and Yeon Wook is faced with a terrible decision, torn between love and duty, the memory of her sister and her own desires.

Gong Hyo Jin, famous for her roles in much-loved dramas Thank You and Hello My Teacher, brings a nuanced passion to her role is this earlier drama, and Jo Jae Hyun, lead of recent successful drama New Heart, provides a good counterpart as the detective she falls for who slowly begins to realize that his sister-in-law loves him. With an unconventional storyline and a compelling plot, Snowman is not a drama to be missed. Visit our friends at Drama Wiki for additional information about this drama.

hard to except this is the very first drama where I really did not like the lead girl and where I didn't want the main actors to be together. Yeon Wook was so annoying with her crying. She cried in every episode! and I didn't like how everyone cater to her . And I still can't stomach how she lusted after her brother in law. I look at my brothers in law, and I say eeeeeeeeeeeck! its not because they are bad looking, it just seems dirty to me to look at them in the way this girl did. I did watch most of the episodes, but I started to skip around by the 11th. The ending was not to my liking., again, this is the first time I did not want the main girl to get her guy! soooooooooo, I can't recommend this one.,

I am in agreement with Garfield so far...... I like the drama but it does drag on and I find the lead character to be too childish/selfish and annoying. Her crying scenes are enough to drive me to the edge of insanity. I will continue to watch it for now mostly because I love Kim Rae Won's acting and the others as well. Just not the Yeon-Wook character. After watching the whole drama, I still don't like the main girl. She just annoyed me. Won't change my rating..

Totally Enjoyed It Thought this was going to be a tear jerker and it wasn't. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't find the pace too slow. The crying did wear on one's nerves after awhile - I was glad it got less and less. The acting was very good as was the story. Other than the nerve racking crying I found nothing not to like.

Great! I really liked this drama. The plot is pretty crazy but it drags you in. It's got in interesting storyline and great actors. It can drag on, but I think in the end it's worth it.

The story just drags on forever! I don't mind the crazy plot, but the series just drags on. It becomes repetitive and tedious. The Yon-Wook character gets really annoying as she drags others into her misery while trying to deal with her love for her brother-in-law. I feel that everybody was letting Yon-Wook go her way in the end just because they got sick and tired of her!!!!!

I LOVE this drama! This drama does have a crazy plot. It's about a girl who falls in love with her older sister's husband and how she deals with her feelings. If you think you can stomach this kind of plot, go right ahead and dive into it. It has a solid storyline, great lines (this drama was written by Kim Do-woo, who wrote the script for My Name is Kim Sam-soon and What's Up, Fox), great directing and the acting delivered by the main actors are just amazing (I mean really really good), and it's got a decent sound track too. (I was a little taken aback by the ending but that does not stop me from recommending this drama) I'm so happy that this site finally has this. Don't let the provocative plot make you miss one of the greatest dramas. Especially a must-see if you're a fan of any of the lead actors.
