December Fever Starring Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Nam Jin

Bold, witty, and ultimately bittersweet, December Fever is the story of a married woman who falls for a younger man, only to discover that he is dying. Film star Uhm Jung Hwa of Seducing Mr. Perfect and 2009 drama The Man Who Can't Get Married stars as Oh Young-shim, a model housewife whose career-minded doctor husband has ignored her for years. When she meets Park Jung-woo (Kim Nam Jin of successful 2007 drama Fly High) one day, he sparks in her something she hasn't felt in a long time, and when the charming and good-looking Jung-woo sets out to seduce her the two embark on a dangerous affair. Both their families become concerned, however, for Jung-woo doesn't have long to live, and their relationship will bring both joy and tragedy to their lives.

Refreshing and deeply moving, December Fever is a must-see, a drama unusual in its plot and concept.

Surprisingly Intriguing It's better than I thought. It's well rounded in character variety and well made because it kept me interested and involved in the emotions of the characters. It's got romance, family conflicts, temptations, and even humor. I laughed and cried. I'd say it's worth watching.

Not a feel good ending it's about a young and uneducated girl marries into a educated and higher class family by luck. She lives her first 10+ years enduring bad treatment and emotional abuse by her husband family with her believing that's for the love of her "so called" family and her husband. All these experiences make her a low self-esteem person. I don't blame her of acting like what she is. A dying young man makes her realizes what love is that her husband never bother to give her until it's too late. Eventually, she realizes that she is never considered as part of her husband's family. In the end, she makes a difficult choice that I think she wouldn't want to regret it but I don't see the ending is doing any justice for the rest of her life. I don't sympathize the husband since she only receives loneliness from him for the first 10+ years. The male lead has lack of certain essential facial and eye expressions. He needs more training. The female lead can act pretty well, but less crying scenes would have been better.

I didn't...like it. I originally watched this because it had Uhm Jung Hwa in it, and I like her acting. But when I actually started watching it I was like, 'What the eff is this?'. I didn't feel any chemistry whatsoever between the two main characters, and they all annoyed me. The only character I really liked was the husband because I actually understood what he was talking about. I don't think Kim Nam Jin should've been chosen for this role because I never found myself really feeling sorry for him, and it was so predictable I was just like. 'Oh I knew it.' Uhm Jung Hwa's character was crying all the time and being an emo housewife and she never did anything about it. Plus the two main characters went back and forth too quickly. Like 'I hate you!' 'No I love you!' '...ok I guess I love you too...' 'Yay!' '....I hate you again!' And I was like OK. No. But that's just my opinion. I could barely finish the series. -.-

numerotuno I enjoyed this so much. I loved the realistic portrayal of characters. Nothing was overdone, HOWEVER the ending left me very disappointed as it did not tie the story up at all. All in all, this drama is worth your time but be prepared to be frustrated at episode 16 and onwards as it is too realistic to enjoy.

Anger not sadness. I watched this drama because it was under the genre of tearjerker and I was up for a good cry and maybe a few laughs. However, I was really disappointed. As I watched "December Fever", I felt more angry than sad. For most of the time, I sat through yelling at the computer screen, not even slightly tearing up. The protagonist seriously had no persoanlity. She sat around crying all day, feeling bad for herself. What this drama needed was more action, not some lady who sat around crying like a baby for 17 straight episodes.
