Triple starring Lee Jung Jae, Min Hyo Rin, and Lee Sun Gyun

Reuniting the director (Lee Yoon Jung) and writer (Lee Jung Ah) of The First Shop of Coffee Prince for the first time and featuring a cast of high-profile stars, including movie star Lee Jung Jae and Lee Sun Gyun, better known as "The Voice", Triple is a whimsically compelling look at a group of people who are drawn together by one girl's dream of becoming an figure skating champion. Singer Min Hyo-rin in her acting debut stars along with Yoon Kye-Sang, coming off his raved-about and impressive turn in 2008 drama Who Are You?

After her mother and stepfather are killed in a car crash, talented Lee Haru (Min Hyo-Rin) gives up her pursuit of a figure skating career and goes to live with her father. Five years later, an encounter with an old rival sparks her competitive streak again. Haru decides to move to Seoul to train and stay with her stepbrother, Shin Hwal (Lee Jung-jae), whom she hasn't seen in years.

Hwal (Lee Jung Jae) is less than pleased to find a stepsister he hasn't seen in years appearing on his doorstep, but his roommates, Hae-yoon (Lee Sun Gyun) and Hyun-tae (Yoon Kye-Sang) welcome her whole-heartedly. What Haru doesn't plan on, however, on beginning to develop feelings for her gruff stepbrother, and when her new skating coach (Lee Hana) turns out to be Hwal's ex-wife, all sorts of sparks begin to fly, not just between Hwal and Haru but between all the foursome living in the house.

Combining the trademark exceptional writing and directing of the Coffee Prince team and a soundtrack featuring indie artists such as Tearliner and Zitten, Triple is a funny and addicting drama. One girl's struggle to make her dream come true can change the lives of all around her.

take life with grace One can't always have things go their planned ways. Learn the art to move ahead graciously. I also like the ending - this is the best way to end it. I love the entire cast including the director and the writer. I wished Ep 8 / 9 flowed faster; the pacing of the rest of the drama is just gracious. Director Nim, don't rest for too long. Wish to see your next drama soon. :)

Hate it or Love it....No in between when it comes to this drama. I for one, LOVED IT. Yes, it is a touchy subject that may make some uncomfortable but it was developed in a realistic manner. Lee Haru is a very naive 18 yo and I understand how wrong the whole thing is. Shin Wal is such a great character who has developed this wall to separate himself from true emotion, but Lee Haru worms her way into his heart until he has to ask "What are you?" Very deep moment. The choice of music, especially with Maxwell in Epi 15 was very touching. It's my first drama with Lee Jung Jae and I like him. Of course, Lee Sun Gyun "The Voice" can do no wrong in my eyes and this drama was no exception. Love that man. I don't see the women in this drama as crazy. They were all true to themselves. I think this was better than One Fine Day. (I hated the chemistry between Sung Yu Ri and Gong Yo...and not for lack of trying. I still think her character was better off with her boss.) Great use of music - Maxwell in Epi 15. Watch this soap and choose for yourself.

oh brother... It seems that this particular writer likes to address themes that are considered controversial. Obviously they struck a winning combination with Coffee Prince that was an interesting and unexpected situation balanced with likeable characters, which created a lot of intrigue. However, this time the result was not as good. tina2315 says that the women are crazy. Actually, ALL of the characters are a bit off and quite selfish. Since when is it acceptable to work hard to break up a close friend/roommate's marriage so that you can date his wife? One Fine Day handles the concept of step siblings falling in love with each other in a better manner. This drama just made the whole idea seem just as weird as it would be in real life. Bottom line --I liked the actors and actresses, but almost all of the characters they played lacked integrity, which made this drama a challenge to accept. I skipped some of the episodes.

Bad story lines Having difficulty digest story of three crazy women. What made they think the stories of three selfish crazy women are interesting? One went out of marriage and wanted back like nothing happen. One is a complete drunk lunartic and an 18 year old seducing a 34 year old brother...... Of course, this is every man's fantasy came true. But honestly... Lovely ending?

Lovely Beginning was lovely. Middle was lovely. Ending was lovely. I will admit it's not a good as Coffee Prince but I still loved it. The characters make you wanna be with them, you wanna be there friends too and it just gives you a sweet bubbly feeling as a whole.

Some Great Actors...Mediocre Script! I got really tired of little sister's self-centered whining! The speed skater was way too good for her and big brother deserved better treatment as well! I skipped half the episodes because I found sis's behavior so tiresome! The ending is also strange. It is cheerful, but also very ambiguous.
