The Devil starring Uhm Tae Woong, Shin Min Ah, and Joo Ji Hoon

A series of seemingly unrelated murders bring together a conflicted detective, a psychic librarian, and a mysterious prosecutor with dubious motives. Uhm Tae Woong (Queen Seon Duk, Dr. Champ) makes his turn as an action/thriller star alongside Joo Ji Hoon, who was the "It Boy" after his star-making turn in Goong. Also starring Shin Min Ah (My Girlfriend is a Gumiho).

Detective Kang Oh Soo (Uhm Tae Woong) is assigned to two seemingly unrelated murder cases, where the only clue left behind are tarot cards. He is lead to Seo Hae In (Shin Min Ah), a quiet librarian who has the ability to make a psychic connection to an object to discover its history. She reveals to him that the victims were connected to the death of a high school boy years ago. The one common link between the suspects becomes their defense attorney, Oh Seung Ha (Joo Ji Hoon), a young lawyer with questionable motives.

Finally ......... I'm glad DramaFever posted Joo Ji Hoon's photo and bio under the "Cast" in the Summary!!! He is one my favorite Korean actors, I loved him since watching "Goong". I watched 9 episodes few months ago, and I'm back to finish the rest of this fantastic drama. This is a brilliant drama, very different from every day dramas. The story line is very unique and interesting, all about revenge and forgiveness. The cast play their parts exceptionally well, specially the 3 main characters. This drama is amazingly PERFECT!!

Sealed the five-star review of this gem of a drama in ep. 14. I'd been prejudiced against the neophyte actor, but Joo Ji Hoon held his own and more throughout the entire series, then clinched it with that exquisite scene with his "noona". UTW is also superb. Especially love the ironic parallels between the main antagonists. I will be watching this one again and again, it's that good. Starts slow but packed with the necessary info for the subsequent unraveling of the mystery. Good music, too.

Not your typical romantic comedy but a tale of deep seated hatred, bitterness and revenge against a world that is unfair and unjust (to the protagonist). Well written and well acted by Joo JI Hoon who played a completely different role from his Crown Prince in Goong. If you like thirllers and mystery and crime - then do not miss this.

I think that this drama has enough complexion and is surprising to me. Although it didn't have much "romance" in it, it was surprising in storyline.

I find this show to be quirky, mysterious and very enjoyable to watch. Nice blend of mystic with police investigations. Once again, I stumble over another of my favorite actress, Shin Min Ah (My Girlfriend is a 9-Tail Fox, A Love To Kill) doing another great job as an actress, this time as a tarot card reader. Great cast and storyline so far.

I find myself constantly seeking other things to do while watching this. I appreciated Joo Ji Hoon's role in this drama, as well, but overall, he didn't do it for me. My time would have been better spent watching something else. There are numerous scenes with no dialogue (i.e., a character staring off into space) that sometimes last for a minute.

Enjoyed it very much. Wished the ending was a bit different. In any-case, it was very interesting.

The acting by two male leads was excellent. The ending was a little rushed and the story is quite dark. I wish they spent more time getting the ending right.

Great mystery with extremely complex characters. I love how they are all intertwined and the acting is amazing. My only critisium is that Shin Min Ah has the personality of a stick in the show. It is interesting how boring she is compared to the two male leads (who are AMAZING). The only point of her character is a person to connect the two males.
