Rebirth - Next Starring Ryu Soo Young and Jang Shin Young

Jang Shin Young (The Road Home), Ryu Soo Young (Bad Couple, Lawyers of Korea) and Lee Jong Soo (Yi San) headline this bittersweet story of fate and destiny.

When promising young stage actress Kang Jung Hwa (played by Jang Shin Young) and brilliant neurosurgeon Dr. Min Ki Beom (actor Ryu Soo Young) have a chance meeting on the subway, the encounter will spark a spiral of events that will change both their lives. Soon after, Jung Hwa inexplicably collapses, and begins to experience a series of memories from previous lives. At the suggestion of her boyfriend Min Ki Soo (Lee Jong Soo) she begins undergoing treatment for insomnia in the form of hypnosis with psychologist Lee Soo Hyeon (Park Ye Jin). What she doesn't realize is that the lives of the four are intertwined - Dr. Min is her boyfriend's brother and her psychologist's fiancee. When she delves into her past memories, she discovers a bittersweet, terrifying truth - that the four have always had intertwining fates, having collided in all of their past lives. As she searches for the key to discovering why they are born over and over only to be drawn together again into a cycle of misfortune, she fights the powerful attraction between herself and Dr. Min...

Interesting but sad. I liked the flashbacks and the story line, but I was sad for the ending. I was hopeing for a happy ending.

Great plot...poor acting. I loved the plot of this drama and that's what got me interested in watching it in the first place. Some parts of story seemed superfluous and it was very slow at some points, The acting of the scenes that took place in modern times was not that great. I wish the characters were more believable. The acting in the flashbacks wasn't top notch either, but there was something about them that made me watch 3 of them...Anyway I appreciated the plot and still felt moved at times. I'm on the 10th episode, and honestly I don't think I can finish this! I really just want to see the last flashback though...

Interesting premise Started out really strong, then kind of petered out toward the end. I thought the first past life was the best. Still, I really liked the premise and the strong acting by Ryu Soo Young. Have to admit that Jang Shin Young really got on my nerves. Speak faster, and don't look so empty!

Pass It was sub par acting and was not thought out clearly as far as concepts go... you can live without seeing this one.

best of both worlds A perfect mix of two genres here... the historical drama and the modern romance. This drama seemed like it might be a little dull at first, but one episode in and I couldn't stop watching. It was addictive and I wish it had been longer - 14 episodes just isn't enough! The past life tales were so compelling and I thought the acting was fantastic. Each of the four stars gets to display their acting range in a variety of roles and they do not disappoint. I highly recommend it.

Beautifully Told What a beautifully told story of 4 lives entertwined by destiny. The individual stories of their previous lives are engrossing and bittersweet. You'll fall in love with each of the 4 lead actors and their touching portrayals. The acting is superb and you can see exactly how very talented they are considering that each of the "present day" actors, including the supporting cast, play characters in each one of the "previous lives" stories. This is a very moving drama that takes on the very sensitive topic of rebirth in an intelligent yet straight-forward and uncomplicated way. This is highly recommended viewing and I'll be spreading the word. Well done . . . BRAVO. Relax and enjoy this!

Couldn't stop watching This is probably my most favorite drama so far. The star-crossed lovers are fascinating to watch in their previous lives. This is a first historical type drama for me. This drama will pull you in completely by the end of the second episode, it was a bit slow starting. After that you won't be able to stop watching it.

Loved It. This may be my favorite drama. It's low key and draws you in and does not disappoint. Ryu Soo Young was in the Seoul 1945 and he became my hero from that show - he didn't disappoint me in this one. This is one I will definitely watch again. The music is haunting. What a lovely story.
