Outrageous Women Starring Yoo Ho Jung, Im Ji Eun, and Kim Bum
Outrageous Women is a delicious concoction of revenge, romance, and life after divorce -- consider it the Korean version of Desperate Housewives. Revolving around the lives of four 30-somethings, it centers on Mi Joo (Yoo Ho Jung of The Woman Next Door), a housewife who was happily married to her first love, Jung Suk (Jung Woong In) - until she discovered that he was having an affair with his dentist. What's a humiliated and betrayed wife to do? Well, if you're Mi Joo, divorce him, move to America with your kid, and come back years later having taken up his girlfriend's profession as a successful dentist. With Jung Suk re-married to beautiful girlfriend Eun Young and a father to daughter Ha Na, Mi Joo is out for a cold dish of revenge . She rents the house next to theirs and gets herself hired at the hospital where Eun Young works. Things get complicated when Rookie (Lee Ki Woo), a former baseball player who owns the house she is renting, begins fallling for her.
From director Lee Seung Ryul of Save the Last Dance for Me, this breezy, bubbly tale of a feisty ex-wife was a popular and critical hit. It also stars Im Ji Eun (Secret Agent Park Moon Soo), Lee Ki Woo (A Love to Kill), and Kim Bum (Boys Before Flowers) in his very first role.

When it described it as a korean desperate housewives I wasn't sure if I would like it but that description totally wrong. I feel it is much more innocent and fresher than that show. Though it starts out with a woman determined to get revenge it develops into a show about over coming old emotional wounds and how to move on. I was little surprise that all the characters got a happy ending even if I feel some really didn't deserve it. Oh well it was fun especially Lee Ki Woo and Kim Bum characters!
some people would take off a star because they think the story of the third house on the street is unnecessary but i liked all of it :3
lee ki woo and kim bum in one story? too much xD
i loved this combination of actors and actresses. I'd say this is a must see :3
I was hesitant to watch this because revenge on ex-husband sounded petty and dull, and it was petty (as it was meant to be), but certainly not dull. Love for Jung Woong In and Lee Ki Woo plus curiosity of Kim Bum's first role brought me in, and I was rewarded. Some hilarious moments, some touching and emotional moments, many cute moments, always entertaining and kept me clicking on the next episode. Like others, dropping a star for not only a few nit picks, but also the unnecessary side stories of that third house on the street. They weren't all bad, but I wouldn't have missed them.
This was much better than I expected it to be. The performances were great, I really believed in the characters and the way they were portrayed! I swear if I had an ex like that, even super glue wouldn't be enough!! The female characters frustrated me in how much they put up with from him! Kim Bum, was adorable, he is turning out to be a very talented young man. I have to agree with the reviewer below the other people in the house down the street were not essential to the story, I found myself skipping their scenes, I wasn't the least bit interested in what happened to Da Rim, or the other silly girl! I gave this four stars because of that. However, It was funny even though they were both pretty awful to each other. My favorite part was the "love potion" and then the carnival ride, that was daibolical!! I almost wet myself laughing! All in all it was worth the time spent watching.
Lee Ki Woo kept me watching. Saw him in A Love to Kill and how different he looks in this role. Kim Bum was really cute in his role as the son. It was enjoyable even though a little silly a times.
Was good for some chuckles but second to last episode was more serious. I didn't think the couple who lived next door (the lawyer and his mother) was all that important to this series. They could have left them out all together.
This drama was such a surprising treat. I had low expectations and laughed my way through. I would recommend this to anyone in the mood for a really funny, light-hearted comedy.
