The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry starring Park Jin Hee, Kim Bum, Uhm Ji Won and Wang Bit Na

A follow-up of sorts to the hit 2004 drama The Woman Who Wants to Marry, this refreshing, breezy, entirely modern drama depicts the loves and friendships of three women as they each go through turning points in their lives. Comedic, witty, and addicting, The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry is a little like a Korean take on Sex and the City or Friends, and is led by a cast of appealing, charismatic actors.

Park Jin Hee, a film and drama star most recently seen as the female lead in hit drama Money War (2007), takes the lead role as a woman unwilling to sacrifice her career for love. Wang Bit Na is her sophisticated, succesful best friend and Uhm Ji Won is a high school classmate whom she runs into by accident. Rising star Kim Bum (Boys Before Flowers) rounds out the cast as a musician who falls for Jin Hee's older woman character.

Shin Young (played by Jin Hee) has never been able to find success in love after breaking up with her fiance for the sake of her career. When her latest boyfriend proposes, she gladly accepts - only to find him with another woman later that night. Giving up on love, she sees another woman screaming at her boyfriend for dumping her - Jung Da Jung (Uhm Ji Won), who is a top interpreter but naive and unskilled in love.

When the two realize they are old high school classmates, they quickly bond, and their trio is rounded out by Shin Young's best friend who is a successful restaurant consultant but jaded and cynical about love. With charming, stubborn gifted musician Ha Min Jae (Kim Bum) falling for Shin Young and doctor Na Ban Suk (Choi Chul Ho) becoming involved in all their lives, sparks begin to fly, and the women will need each other's help and support as they face the 30-something life with wit, humor, and sometimes something less than grace.

Also known as Marry Me, The Marrying Type, and I Want to Get Married.

Why do they compared this drama to Sex in the City? I find Sex in the City to be boring and OVERRATED, so my expectations for liking this was relatively low. But once I started watching it I couldn't stop! I enjoyed the friendship between the 3 ladies and it the characters were relate able. The chemistry between each couple was believable. It wasn't intense, it was a nice little break from money/power torn family dramas that I recently watch. If you like this drama then you'll love What's up Fox? It's similar with the age difference between the two leads but it's VERY different from any drama that's out there.

My aunt married someone who´s 10 years older, rides a motorcycle, smokes and SEEMS like a total punk. He is really a nice guy, shes 30 hes 40, they love each-other and have had an adorable baby... Why can´t the mother accept that age doesn´t matter in love-life!?

Uhm Ji Won and Choi Chul Ho were outstanding and saved this K-drama. They added humour and provided the romance. Ahn Hye Kyung gave a solid performance. Not only was she beautiful and her clothes complemented her character, but she seemed to be the only one who had any sense. I think it would have been better if it had just ended with episode 15.

it has some touching moments but it also has a lot of cheesy and not funny moments (the lip thing? it looked so lame). the part with the friend screaming so much in the beginning, annoying and not funny either. kim bum is cuteeee...but yeah many parts aren't interesting. i feel like skipping ahead when the 3 friends are getting together talking about blah blah. i also don't like how they're so desperate for a boyfriend.... it's just uneven, good parts then boring parts over and over like a yo-yo. i think that the drama does grow on you though if you stick with it, so don't give up even if you dislike the first few episodes. 3.5 or 3.75 stars

i've been putting off this one for so long! so glad that i finally watched it! ok ok we all know that kim bum is a heck of a cutie, so lets get that out of the way now. but besides the obvious, the writing was well done, i loved how we ACTUALLY got to see the love of the couples develop, and they weren't acting like teenagers in puppy love for 23million episodes before realizing that they were in love! the perspectives given in this drama as well were real daebak!! and proves that ♪age aint nothin but a number♫ ^^ ALSO... i'm so glad that the women didn't have the typical recipee of 'young poor girl from a poor family falls for the rich guy who's mother strongly disaproves bc shes poor and unfortunate blah blah blah' THIS was more real in the sense that i could actually see how it would make sense for his mother to legitimately disapprove on their relationship based on good arguments... oh, and did i mention.. COMPLETELY HILARIOUS! ok, that's all ive got to say! oh, yea and most deff, WATCH IT!!
