When It's At Night starring Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Gun
When It’s At Night is Kim Sun Ah’s first follow-up to the smash sensation My Lovely Sam Soon — the drama that made her a star. She brings her quirky charm to the role of an Inspector in Korea’s Cultural Theft Division. When It's At Night tells an exciting tale of art theft and treasure hunting. Charming, funny, and at the same time suave and rambunctious, When It’s At Night co-stars Lee Dong Gun of Lovers in Paris as a slick, womanizing art expert.
After her treasure-hunter father is branded a thief by Korea’s Cultural Heritage Administration and disappears, Heo Cho Hwi (Kim Sun Ah) decides to follow in his footsteps, but on the side of the law. Seven years later, she is an art hunter who is committed to protecting the nation’s artifacts. Investigating art crime all over the country, she hopes that one of them will lead her to her father.
Kim Bum Sang (Lee Dong Gun), an expert specializing in detecting forgeries and restoring original art pieces, is only in it for the fame and money. When the two must pair up to track down stolen cultural heritage pieces, they immediately clash. With the dedicated preservationist and the hotshot playboy working together as a team, all sorts of sparks begin to fly, and they just might prove the law that “opposites attract”…
Also known by alternate titles Everyday Night, When Night Comes, and Night After Night. Visit our friends at Drama Wiki and Hancinema for additional information about this drama.
This term suits the very talented Kim Sun Ah whom I enjoyed watching in this very outlandishly quirky drama series. As with everything I've seen her star in, this one also comes out golden. With the help from a very funny cast of characters this drama did not dissapoint. Sulky, brooding, critical yet good at her job, it was interesting to see who would step in as a good match for her. The character Kim Bum Sang did a good job reining her in. From nemesis to lover, the change was nothing short of miraculous. This accompanied with a storyline about a subject matter not widely talked about made for a very interesting series.
I am deaf and the closed caption was so fast I could not read it and as a result I don't like the movie.Other than that I really did enjoy what I could understant.
Would have gave more stars. End not bad, but not Best . OK but got a little silly_Like a just "Ok" desert , after 5star meal. Left like could make be sequel? Which would be good. Could have enjoyed at least one more episode to maybe wrap things up more like lead guy get jobs back from rich kid, and bring bad guys to justice more, especially murderer. And see more family re-uniting.
OR? ****** SPOILER ALERT ****** SPOILER ALERT ****** SPOILER ALERT ******
Don't read more if you haven't seen yet and don't want to know too much.
(Could've had man who knew what real treasure was, re-unite with his treasures? Thanks for show.
Wow, what a ride! I appreciated the tight pacing of this drama. Always interesting, with no lags or unnecessary scenes/ episodes. The unfolding mysteries within the storyline held my attention throughout and I enjoyed the romantic relationship between the leads--their attraction was both realistic and compelling. Kudos for weaving in the fascinating aspects of ancient artifacts and cultural art pieces....and, of course, 3 cheers for Kim Sun Ah-- that woman can act!! All in all, a great drama-- I loved it!
