When It's At Night starring Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Gun

When It’s At Night is Kim Sun Ah’s first follow-up to the smash sensation My Lovely Sam Soon — the drama that made her a star. She brings her quirky charm to the role of an Inspector at Korea’s Cultural Theft Division in a lighter Tomb-Raider-esque tale of art theft and treasure hunting. Charming, funny, and alternately suave and rambunctious, When It’s At Night co-stars Lee Dong Gun of Lovers in Paris as a slick, womanizing art expert.

After her treasure-hunter father is branded a thief by Korea’s Cultural Heritage Administration and disappears, Heo Cho Hwi (Kim Sun Ah) decides to follow in his footsteps, but on the side of the law. Seven years later, she is an art discoverer who is committed to protecting the nation’s artifacts. Investigating art crime all over the country, she hopes that one of them will lead her to her father.

On the other hand, Kim Bum Sang (Lee Dong Gun), an expert specializing in detecting forgeries and restoring original art pieces, is in it for the fame and money. When the two are paired together to track down stolen cultural heritage pieces, they immediately clash. With the dedicated preservationist and the hotshot playboy working together as a team, all sorts of sparks begin to fly, and they just might prove the law that “opposites attract”…

Also known by alternate titles Everyday Night, When Night Comes, and Night After Night. Visit our friends at Drama Wiki and Hancinema for additional information about this drama.

Very good! this was a very good movie. i do think that Lee Dong Gun is very hot. however the only thing i dislike in the story is that, Heo Cho Hwi keep on thinking aboout her dad. it would of been better if it got a better ending like her brother and her two uncle married her off.

Great Fun!!! By the description I had hoped for more action, but I'm not bothered that there wasn't an extreme amount. This is a very good story. It was fun and though it does have the requisite flash backs and songs played, it's not overdone. I didn't even fast forward (unusual for me). The cast is great and I loved the characters. The story is well developed. I think I even learned a few things. There's an unanswered mystery though. One character disappears from last couple of episodes. They never tell us what happened to him.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED This comedic romantic action drama is great (especially compared to "My Lovely Sam Soon") and I'm probably going to end up watching it again. The characters are quite believable and the plot unfolds naturally -- it doesn't drag at any point and nothing seems rushed. The relationship that develops between Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Gun's characters is realistic and the two actors do a great job of portraying their romance. "Little Brother" does a little too much pouting for my taste, however.

Your Not-Yet-Another-Teen-Drama!! Really, I had a good laugh on this one! I don't get why some people said that the leads don't have that much chemistry! I mean c'mon! This one has the "best" cast ever! Lee Dong Gun and Kim Sun Ah definitely portrayed the "mature role". This is not just your lame "not-yet-another-teen-drama! The characters handled their life problems very well. Even the supporting actors and actresses are so good on developing their characters. At one moment there's angst. Bbut will give you a load of fun right after so. And to that I give kudos to the script writer. Interested story! You'll definitely get hooked! I like Lee Joo Hyun too in here! And also Kim Jung Hwa, though she tends to be in this type of romantic comedy for so long, I like her most on this one! Her being dense just came out naturally and not so forceful unlike some others! Watch it!! I mean...SIT ON IT!!

Fun, easy watch Fun drama about cops and robbers. I liked that the main characters expressed their feelings for each other in an adult manner and not with silly pretense. There was an interesting plot twist, although not entirely unexpected. Supporting casts was funny and played their roles well. Easy watch, not pretentious. There were some missed opportunities for more intimacy between the main characters that would have enhanced the romance between Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Du.

Lee Dong Gun... (sigh) “When it’s at Night” is certainly not the best drama out there. It lacks in many ways. However, as a comedy, it didn’t let me down. I enjoyed it. It was easy to watch, the 17 episodes go by very quickly since there is not much to the plot, but at the same time, it doesn’t drag. Frankly, I watched it all because of the lead actors. I love Lee Dong Gun so much, I would watch anything with him. If you liked “Sweet 18” then, you are sure to like this one. I mean, in my opinion, it’s a better story for a comedy, and lets not forget that Kim Sun Ah will always make you laugh. She is that good.

Wonder RomCom with a Dash of Action After watching a tearjerker drama, I really wanted to watch something where I could laugh, but I wanted to storyline to be good... and this drama totally delivered! Some have complained that the romantic chemistry wasn't there for the two leads Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Gun, but I beg to differ. The romance was beautifully played out with their characters personalities and the comedy was hilarious. The action element is a definite plus that will have you coming back episode after episode to find out what happens. I'm a bit sad that this drama went under the radar, but that further solidifies the fact that it is a precious jewel. ^^
