Will It Snow at Christmas? starring Go Soo, Han Ye Seul, and Sun Woo Sun
The post-army comeback for superstar Go Soo (Green Rose, Piano). This successful melodrama paired him with Han Ye Seul of Couple or Trouble. Hitmaker Lee Kyung Hee of classics I'm Sorry I Love You, A Love to Kill and Thank You penned this compelling 2009 romance. Beautifully shot, wistful, and emotionally complex, Will it Snow This Christmas? is not to be missed.
Cha Kang Jin (played by Go Soo) grows up in a poor family who is constantly on the move. After relocating to his mother's hometown in Kang Jin's teenage years, his mother falls on her old ways, opening a bar that draws mostly a group of undesirable men. Kang Jin, is forced to watch helplessly from the sidelines, getting into fights with other high school students to protect her honor. When he meets Han Ji Wan (Han Ye Seul) at school, sparks fly immediately, but tragedy soon strikes when Ji Wan suddenly must leave town. Eight years later, Kang Jin finally finds her - at her engagement party to another man. Never able to forget the girl he loved and hurt so badly, Kang Jin has trouble accepting the loss of his love to another man. After discovering that Ji Wan's fiancé is his co-worker, the three soon become hopelessly entangled in each other's lives. Ji Wan tries to disregard their history, unwilling to stir up the past, but she soon discovers the dark history between their two families cannot be ignored.
Loved it! but i didn't like the "open" ending. i was hoping for something more then just cha kang jin following han ji wan and taking the same road together... but i have a feeling that they will be together eventually if the drama continued (: overall loved it!
Was there anyone in this drama who did not act well? It was an all star A+ acting, to the last minute. Go Soo over did himself in his comeback drama. His eyes were so expressive and riveting. I didn't know any actor could convey a range of emotions just by using your eyes, and without any lines. So with Min Soo, Wow! superb acting. this was a stellar cast. Ye Seul did her part and she was so easy on the eyes to look at. Everybody in this drama deserves an A+ acting award, from the kids who portrayed Ko Soo and Ye Seul's character, to their support cast. The story was beautifully written, very well thought of and not going overboard. Loved it. Wish it would go on forever. Wanna see Ko Soo in more dramas like this.
I just spent the last 16 days on a wild emotional roller coaster. There were times when I wanted to jump into the TV and smack someone back to their senses. There were times I was mad at everyone and there were times my heart ached so bad I could feel the pain. There were times when it seemed like Miss Sun was the only sane one of the bunch. Then there was the touching scene at the river between JiWan and.GangJin when I totally lost it. I mean I really lost it. Finally there was the feel good scene between the mothers. And the ending, ah yes the ending. Again another excellent drama, Bravo, Very well done.
I was disappointed with this drama. A good portion of this production had the two main characters just "staring into space". I thoroughly enjoyed Han Ye Seul, who would normally ensure the success of anything she played in, but even she couldn't carry this one. I did note that she remined me of Audrey Hepburn, which is saying a lot regarding her skills as an actress.
this drama was very frustrating and really dragging..by the end i didnt care to watch the last 13 episodes so i just read them on dramabeans and thank god i did that otherwise i would have just wasted my time...this drama was too long
For once, a beautifully crafted and complex story. The characters are densely pacted people that unravel at every episode. Frustratingly emotional, but believeable. Bottomline....fear versus love...which wins?
A nicely acted, not-too-far-over-the-top melodrama that has some real emotional heft and compelling chemistry. The chronological jumps are an interesting touch, almost making it feel as if you're watching a number of different series rolled into one and keeping things fresher than the standard will-they-or-won't-they push and pull that makes up the last third of most Kdrama romances. If the last part of the storyline had been less tiresome, this would have rated 5 stars in my book.
I saw Han Ye Seul in 'Couple or trouble' and thought she was too wooden. She doesn't suit this part either. The lead actor is good looking but isn't he part European? I notice that while the females look purely Asian the better looking men tend to look as if they are not.

NEW SERIES!
A dark take on the Korean legend of the nine-tailed fox, Gumiho: Tale of the Fox Child follows a mother's desperate quest to protect her daughter from an evil fate.
EPISODE 18 ADDED! SERIES FINALE IS NOW HERE!
Han Ye Seul and Eric Mun star in this action/romantic comedy where a North Korean spy is tasked to kill a South Korean celebrity... until she's ordered to marry him instead!!
A breezy tale of rich wives fighting over love, money, and social politics. It's a bit Desperate Housewives, a bit Gossip Girl, and a whole lot of fun.
