RUNAWAY: PLAN B starring Rain, Lee Na Young, Daniel Henney, Lee Jung Jin and Uehara Takako
Superstar Rain and well-known film actress Lee Na Young (of cult classic Ireland) return after five-to-six year hiatuses for this swashbuckling action drama. From the writer-director pair behind the year's earlier smash hit Chuno, the star-studded cast includes Lee Jung-jin of 9 End 2 Outs and Daniel Henney of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and My Lovely Sam Soon. An instant hit, Runaway: Plan B is a high-profile, stylish, unique action romance.
Sixty years after the outbreak of the Korean War, a large sum of money lost at it's onset mysteriously resurfaces, and an international assortment of fortune hunters are on a rampage to find the bounty. Among them are Jin Yi (Lee Na Young), a mysterious operative, and Ji-woo (Rain), a spy with his own motives. Jin Yi approaches Ji-woo under false pretenses, planning to use him to get closer to the money. As the two cross many borders looking for the treasure, an attraction springs up between them despite their habit to deceive each other on a regular basis. Things get more complicated as new players come into the duo's mixed up world of love and treasure hunting.
Spectacular action-thriller! Part melodrama, part comedy and that playful unbelievably awesome banter and wit as only Rain can deliver. This is a 4 star drama, but with him it makes 5. So you say the storyline is a little unrealistic? So what. Every actor in this show delivered! Love the side characters, police detectives, rival investigators. Everything adds up great!
It had a good start, after all Rain the easy on the eyes Action star also smart investigator. Then he would be this total buffoon, not really a good look. The other characters; Jin Yi who I found terribly irritating. Never before have I wanted a lead to completely disappear. The LOCAL police squad’s who obsession with catching Ji Woo (Rain) scanning across the globe which was just too ridiculous; So Ran who was completely annoying. Even Daniel Henney's character was stale. It was choppy at best. Outside of the opening scene, it's not even a good time filler.
daniel henny cannot act. How does this guy have a job?? Other than that I like it. Rain is amazing as expected. It is deff a very silly drama..
SO I am at the end and I have to say other than Daniel Henny's stiff acting, I really loved this drama. Very silly. Rain will steal your heart!!
Rain was super delicious during this drama and I could really appreciate the fact that he was so playful and shirtless a lot. I loved all the characters and the extra info about how hard everyone worked on the drama was really cute. I would have given this five stars but they dropped a lot of story lines, like what happened to his girlfriend and the fact that he was a child when Jini's grandfather was killed I don't know I found it weird but loved it all the same.
I won't watch anything with that many episodes again. I was really long drawn out. Only watching Rain made it worth it. Watching the last episode showing the making of the movie was better than the movie itself. The staff and actors really did work hard but it could have been condensed more.
i knew one of the four among the two cops and the client and PI one was gonna die but overall i loved the show and i loved the background music so epic
Torn between his surrogate father's drive for vengeance and the girl whose courage and innocence touch him, Yoon Sung must fight to survive, and choose the path he will take.
Rain shows his tough side in this revenge melodrama as a reclusive K-1 fighter who hatches an elaborate plan to get back at the woman he blames for destroying his brother's life.
