I Love You Starring Ahn Jae Wook and Seo Ji Hye

The final installment of a drama trilogy (Tazza, Gourmet) based on the work of popular cartoonist Huh Young-man. I Love You is a frank, lighthearted look at the trials and tribulations of young married life.

After a one night stand between Chul Soo (Ahn Jae Wook) and Young Hee (Seo Ji Hye) end in an accidental pregnancy, they have no choice but to get married. Although the much younger Young Hee is madly in love, the last thing Chul Soo wants is to be married. On the other end of the spectrum is would-be rock-star Park Byung Ho (Hwan Hee) who wants to abandon his wife and child for the sake of his career. Divorce lawyer Min Ho (Gong Hyung Jin) rounds out this quintet of people who collide over issues of love, marriage, and divorce in this illuminating, funny drama.

This story in many ways is similar to how many people live. Even as people grow older doesn't always mean they become more mature as many liked to think. People can still be childish towards the one they love because that is what love does to people. It makes them petty and easily jealous towards the person they love. We may watch this show and shake our heads but there are moments in this show where many can relate. I liked how it wasn't dramatic or how characters didn't dwell on their pain for ridiculous amount of time. The plot is very straight forward as to people fell in love but endurance and trust is required for that love to last in marriage.

I have made it halfway through episode seven and it has been a struggle for me to get this far! The story(ies) are quite provocative and defintiely generate some controversial issues, so it does have its moments, but not enough to hold my interest. The characters are great, good looking and good actors, I can find no fault there. I guess there just isn't enough excitement for me. I have to admit I was holding on in the hopes of hearing/seeing Hwanhee sing..........he is really the reason I started to watch this in the first place! His character is a moron of course but it is just a character. I sure many will find this endearing, but it just isn't grabbing me.

i forgot that before they met officially they passed each other on the street. i didn't like chul soo and young hee at first but as i watched more, they were good together. loved the footpop in the last episode b/c of the movie princess diaries.

Although it was only 16 episodes it felt long given the content. I think the whole thing could have been done in 10 episodes. I sped through at many points. And what of Mi Joo's fate? I really want to give it 3.5, but I did like some of the character development, so I'll round up.

Very enjoyable. Lighthearted and cute. It is realistic and true to life but done in a charming story. If you really listen there are lessons to learn about love, patience, forgiveness, friendship and most of all that sharing and talking out problems with each other makes for strengthening love and trust between mates.

The 1st few episodes were light and fun, even when dealing with serious subjects such as infidelity and unexpected pregnancy. Now at Ep. 6, I feel I’m slogging through the minutia of getting the couples together. I feel sorry for the relatively young women who seem to be ending up with guys who seem not to have much to offer.

Are all Korean men as irresponsible as portrayed by the writers of this drama? I can't believe these men are not taking responsibility for their actions!
