Biography
Goo Hara is a Korean idol best known as a singer and actor. Her most well known works include being a member of the popular girl group KARA and her role as the president's daughter in the famous Korean drama, City Hunter.
She was born in Gwangju, South Korea on January 13, 1991. She first pursued her career in entertainment when she participated in SM's youth appearance in 2005. She has also auditioned for JYP but did not make the cut. However, she soon found her big break when she was discovered for her online modeling photos on DSP's homepage. This led to her career in KPOP as she became a member of KARA. Although KARA had already debuted in 2007, Goo Ha Ra replaced a former member in 2008.
Her solo activities include her role as one of the most prominent female gang leaders in the sitcom That Person is Coming in 2008. She was also cast in 2009 in the reality show Invincible Youth. Her resume also includes her role in the Japanese sitcom Urakara. Shortly after, she made her true acting debut as the president's daughter in the popular Korean drama City Hunter. Goo Ha Ra has also recorded a solo song called Secret Love. She is currently attending Sungshin Women's University while continuing her career in Korean entertainment.
