Biography
Ha Ji Won is a Korean actress who was born Jeon Hae Rim on June 28th, 1979 in Seoul, South Korea. She studied at Dankook University before beginning her acting career in earnest. Her first acting role was in 1996, with a very small part on the television show Adults Don’t Know. Between then and 2000, she acted in three more television shows before getting her first role in a film, called Truth Game. She acted in two more films, Nightmare and Ditto, that same year.
In 2002, she gained the attention of fans and critics when she played a role in the film Phone. Next, she starred in a television show, called Damo, in 2003. She followed up her success by starring in two movies in 2004. In 2005, she starred in two more movies, including the mystery film Duelist. In 2006, she took the lead role in a television series, called Hwang Jini. The show, which was a period piece, was very popular with fans.
Since then, she has starred in almost everything she has been in, including a television series called Secret Garden, and six movies, including Tidal Wave and Closer to Heaven. As of 2012, she is filming another television show and a movie called As One.
