Biography

Han Chae Young was born with the name Kim Ji Young in Daegu, South Korea on September 13th, 1980. Soon after she was born, her family moved to Chicago,, she lived in the United States until after the end of her high school years. Then, when she was on a trip to Korea, she was discovered by a comedian. It was then that she decided to pursue an acting career.

Chae Young made her debut in 2000, when she was in a movie, The Record, a television show called Autumn in My Heart which was very popular with viewers. Following these appearances, she had roles in two other television shows, two more movies. Then, in 2005, she got the chance to star in the show Delightful Girl Choon Hyang. The show was very popular with fans, helped to boost her career.

In 2009, she got an even bigger break when she had a role in the show Boys Over Flowers. The television show was based on a very successful Japanese manga,, the show proved to be just as popular. Since the show, she has continued to act as much as possible. She was featured in another three shows, five films.
