Biography

Actor Joo Won was born in South Korea in 1987. He was born Moon Joo Won, and is a successful Korean actor with an eclectic repertoire of professional experience.

Best known for his roles in TV dramas Baker King Kim Tak Goo and Ojakgyo Family, this young star began his acting career on the musical stage. As he gained popularity from his performances in shows like Spring Awakening, Grease, and a Korean version of Altar Boyz, Joo Won broke into TV, then into movies, including Special Investigation Unit (2011), and Don't Click (2012.)

For his role in Baker King Kim Tak Goo, Joo Won was nominated for a KBS Drama Award for Best New Actor. He is also known for his youthful look; although he is 24 he doesn't seem to have changed since his school days.
