Biography

Kang Shin Il is a South Korean actor who was born on November 26, 1960. The actor came to his craft later in life than many do, after graduating from Kyung Hee University. His first acting role was awarded to him when he was thirty-nine years old in the 1999 film Ejaesuuinan. Although the movie was seen by many, it took some time for him to start picking up roles regularly.

He got his foot in the door in the 2002 film Jail Breakers, which was written by Park Jung-Woo, where he played the prison manager. From there he quickly snapped up several film roles, and in 2004 he began his television career as Detective Nam in the SBS program Rays of Sunshine.

In both television and film Kim Shin Il is known for his roles as detectives. He showed exceptional skill as a member of law enforcement early in his career, so he has been awarded many roles since then. Viewers enjoy seeing him in a variety of roles. His most recent television role is in the program Glass Mask on tvN, and he is set to have a major role in the film Accomplice, due for release in 2013.
