Kim Hyun Joo is a popular Korean actress who was born on April 24, 1978 in Il-san City, Gyeonggi, South Korea. She started her career as a model while she was still in high school. During that time she also began appearing in many music videos. The exposure made her recognizable to fans. Soon, she began acting seriously. She had her first role in 1996 on the show I Don’t Know Anything But Love. That same year, she also appeared on the popular sitcom Three Guys and Three Girls, as well as several other shows.

In 1998, she acted in her first movie, called If It Snows on Christmas. She got her first big acting break in 2002, when she took the starring role on the show Glass Slippers. The show told the stories of two sisters who separated for many years. It was very popular and helped to make her a star. She starred in a movie called Star Runner the following year.

In 2004, she starred in the movie Shinsukki Blues. She then went on to act on Marrying a Millionaire, a dramatic romance show based off of American reality shows. In 2009, she appeared on the extremely successful show Boys Over Flowers, furthering her already successful career.
