Biography
Kim Jeong Hoon is a Korean actor and singer who is best known for his role in Goong. Born in Jinju, South Korea, Kim Jeong Hoon is extremely intelligent, with an IQ of about 146. As a young man he wanted to study science, and he ended up enrolling at Seoul National University, where he studied dentistry. Soon after he realized that his true dream lay in performing, and he dropped out of school to pursue that career. He would later enroll in Chung-Ang University and major in acting.
Kim Jeong Hoon began his career as a singer, and in 1999 he joined up with Choi Jung Won to form the duo UN. The band released six albums and a DVD. However, he felt restricted by what music he could and could not create, and in 2005, the two disbanded. It was then that he began to focus more on acting.
Kim Jeong Hoon first gotten into acting when he appeared on the television show Orange in 2002, and his interest increased when he did two movies in 2004. However, it was not until 2006 that he truly rose to stardom. That year, he starred in the show Goong. Based on a Korean comic, Goong, was extremely popular with fans, and earned Kim Jeong Hoon notoriety. In 2007 he starred in another popular series, Witch Yoo Hee. Due to these highly visible roles, Kim Jeong Hoon’s career continues to be a strong one.
