Biography

Kim Mi Kyung has had one of the most illustrious acting careers in Korean television. Born on October 14, 1963, she has acted in dozens of famous Korean television dramas. She had also appeared in many movies. She is considered to be a true Korean star, and has fans all over the world.

She began acting in 1999. She first appeared on the television series Kaist. In 2001, she took on her first film role in the movie One Fine Spring Day. 2004 brought Kim roles in two movies which would become very popular with audiences. They were called Dance with the Wind and S Diary. She then went on to appear in Spring Waltz, the third part of a beloved four part television series, in 2006. She followed the success she had by acting in The Legend, a historical drama show, in 2007. This show also became a fan favorite.

Since her first burst of success, she has had important character roles in many television shows and movies. She often plays mother figures. She has appeared on shows, such as In-Soon is Pretty, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and Secret Garden, which would become some of Korea’s most well-loved television shows. Lately, she has acted in Golden Time, a show which came out in 2012.
