Biography

Kim Seung Soo is a prolific, award-winning Korean actor, known for his astonishing variety of roles and expansive career. He grew up with an interest in the performing arts, and spent a great deal of his time practicing singing and acting before going to Kyonggi University, where he received his Bachelor’s in Physical Education. While at University, he paid a great deal of attention to the performing arts, working on acting as well as singing and songwriting, developing those talents over the years.

Kim Seung Soo landed his first role on television in 1999 in MBC's Huh Joon, where he played a relatively minor role. The actor went on to receive a number of roles in the following years, slowly building prominence and acting credits until he was deemed ready for a larger role. He most recently appeared on the MBC show Just Like Today, as well as the 2010 film Gochibang. Kim Seung Soo has won a number of awards, including the 2006 MBC Drama Award for Excellence, which he received for his performance in the 2006 MNBC Program Jumong.
