Biography

Kim Soo Ro is a Korean actor who was born Kim Sang Joong on May 7, 1970 in Anseong, Gyeonggi, South Korea. He attended Dongguk University where he majored in Theater Arts. After graduating from college, he immediately began working towards his goal of a career in acting. In 1993, he appeared in his first film, called Two Cops. He then had small parts in three other films before he landed a large role in the movie The Foul King in 2000.

In 2001 he starred in Volcano High and it became a huge success with fans, helping to boost Kim’s fan following and star status. In 2003 he starred in another movie called Madeleine. Then, in 2004 he hit it big when he landed large roles in the fan favorite films Dance with the Wind and S Diary. This led to his first true starring role in the movie Vampire Cop Ricky in 2006.

In 2007 he made his television acting debut with a very small appearance on the show Thank You. He then starred in the animated movie Life is Cool. Kim Soo Ro then went on to act in several successful films, including Five Senses of Eros and Romantic Heaven. He also took a large role on the television series A Gentleman’s Dignity in 2012.
