Biography
Kim Young Chul is a Korean actor who was born on February 25, 1953 in Daegu, South Korea. He began acting in 1971 when he appeared in the movie Popular Student. In 1984, after appearing in five other movies, he acted on his first television show, which was called The Bride in the Classroom. Throughout the rest of the 1980s and 1990s, he continued to take many roles in films and appeared in dozens of television shows. However, neither critics nor fans truly took notice of his true acting talent until 2000.
In 2000, he took one of the starring roles on the television series Emperor Wang Gun. The show was a huge success with viewers. Then, in 2005 he starred in the film A Bittersweet Life, which delved into the codes and personal lives of Korean gangsters. In 2009, he got a large role on the show IRIS, which became very popular with fans. He then starred in the 2010 show Life is Beautiful, which again stunned audiences. That same year he also appeared on the show Athena: Goddess of War.
In 2011 and 2012, he had large roles in several popular shows, such as The Princess’ Man, The Equator Man and Nice Guy. He has plans for a new show in 2013.
